oh man i am glad my machine is okay!!!

um...yeah. mine either. i broke 8 needles attaching the straps to the body etc. EIGHT NEEDLES. =__=
i'm lucky i didn't break my whole machine. and instead of batting i used polar fleece because i thought it would be more comfortable. ha. ha. ha. eight needles.

i used my machine (which was kind of a pain because certain leaves rip from the presser foot) to stitch each leaf onto brown craft paper. then i took grass and just sewed a straight line of grass at the bottom. then i stitched the tree trunk onto the paper and painted the blue on. i am fairly certain i did all my steps backwards but that is just how my brain works.

i only broke EIGHT sewing machine needles. 

these are my entries for a contest a local brewery is holding.  each entrant gets a free 6-pack and the winner gets a years worth of free beer! i don't drink beer but my husband does so i thought i'd help his chances (he entered a painting).

i learned about this art project off of reddit...basically you can join this word press group (i made an account specifically for this project) where a community of people will create something for every day of june and post it. i thought it was a great motivational idea and knew i had to join! currently i believe there are 35 contributors. so if anyone's interested, head over to http://thirtydaysproject.com/!
