alright here's my latest! i didn't draw this, but i got my best friend to and told him exactly what i wanted (based off a poster he made)... he is an AMAZING artist.

i sat for nearly 5 hours for an outline in august before i started going into shock:

second round i sat for 4.5 hours before my body started going into shock:

my tattoo artist is my close friend casper, and the boy holding my best friend, dean, is the artist.

it needs a LOT of work...all the small flowers will be blue and green with white tips, and the purple in the big flower needs to be touched up a lot, and the black sketchy lines need to be added in...

my camera died before i got a good picture of the entire bag :/ but here are some pictures to hold you all over! i'll try and get a better picture later.

I LOVE IT ALL! it's so amazing! i'm totally inspired to finish all my items now! not that i wasn't going to do it, but now i am super excited Cheesy

okay, first:

the bag! it's awesome...totally my style. and it's brown! i love brown. i'm totally blown away by the stitch work! it also has 3 pockets in the inside, which is great and totally useful.

next:

the boxes! handpainted and filled with little treats:

in the orange box, tootsie roll candy!

and in the purple box, magnets!

last but definitely not least:

the toque!!! i love love love love love it. i've been so sad since having dreads that none of my toques fit, and this one fits PERFECTLY. and it's adorable!

what a great swap partner i have! i'm off to craft now. thank you thank you thank you!!!!! hopefully i don't overheat, i can't seem to keep the toque off my head! Cheesy

9  check out my ballin' new fabric stash! in Discussion and Questions by ryepie on: December 14, 2007 11:59:03 PM
this mansion up the hill from us was sold for triple the amount it's worth so that they could build condos on the land. it was tore down the other day. so what does my husband do at midnight the night before it is bulldozed? goes shopping of course!  Grin

this house was apparently trashed inside with tons of weird stuff all over the place. but hey, if i was handed 4 million bucks, then i would be out of there too! one thing i'd do differently than they did? bring my fabric of course!

here's my newest stash.  Cheesy

10  pouch sling for my sisters newborn in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by ryepie on: December 13, 2007 04:52:08 PM
yeah yeah, i know it's not "technically" clothing, but who else besides babywearers are going to appreciate this? that's why it's in here. i would argue that slings/wraps/carriers are actually clothing, or at least in my house they are...they are a staple part of my outfit nearly every day! well...they used to be before my kid weighed 40 pounds. now they are a weekly part of my life. hahaha.
anyways!
made out of an old sheet.
took like. 25 minutes maybe?
modeled by haye Smiley

next time i'd make it double the thickness probably, and maybe a little smaller. my sister is about the same size as i am, and it's a little big for my liking, but whateves.
