21  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Yabadabado!! Fred Flintstone Dress Recon :) on: May 22, 2006 08:59:36 PM
First let me say I'm having a BLAST sewing! So glad I took that old machine from my mother's house Wink Ok, heres my latest creation. I bought this old (vintage perhaps) Fred Flintstone t-shirt for a couple bucks off Ebay, took my measurements and cut it out to fit my body. Then added black bands to the top and bottom and lastly straps. I stayed up with my sister (she was making a shirt) till 5 in the morning. Yes, we were determined to finish. hehe

Thanks for looking!  Cheesy
22  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Card Stock Self Portrait kissy kiss! ;) on: May 03, 2006 07:54:18 PM
Hi all! I did this for a self portrait swap on swap-bot.com. The texture is kinda hard to see in the pic. Think South Park construction paper... cept its cardstock. Anyways, its cut up different colored paper glued onto a sheet of blue paper. I added details with a sharpie and pen. And I had to do the whites of my eyes with a pastel. All freehand baby!

Hope you like! Muah!   Kiss
23  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Lock and keys earrings and necklace! woot woot! on: April 30, 2006 04:14:06 PM
I got this lock with two keys as a gift with purchase from an ebay seller and couldnt help but turn them into a necklace and earrings!

The keys really work with the lock! Does anyone know where to find more of these mini locks with keys?

Thanks for looking, hope you like!  Grin
24  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My first shirt!!!!! I can already tell this is going to be way addicting! ;) on: April 13, 2006 07:32:42 PM
I'm so excited about this. This is my first attempt at clothing. Before this I had sewn a few pillows and a purse (which I had help with). But I did this all by myself by pinning a shirt I already owned on top of the material and cutting around it. I guess you could say it was my pattern. Then I drew a anchor on some watercolor paper and cut it out with aaaaa (whats it called?) crafting etching knifey thingy. And used that as a stencil (idea thanks to many different tutorials here) and used fabric paint to paint the sucker on! Anyways, enough of my blabbing, heres a pic!

And a close up of the anchor Smiley

It was a blast to make, I hope you like it!   Cheesy
25  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / More T-shirt Pillows Yaaay! on: March 28, 2006 09:41:26 AM
Princess Peach went to a swap partner in the UK, both of these were done by hand.

This is the first one I tried with the sewing machine. I ended up having to make it smaller than I would have liked. I didnt realize the harder you step on the pedal, the faster it sews lol  Tongue

And this one is my favorite so far <3

I justwon this lot of shirts off Ebay and plan turnin them into pillows as well. If they get here soon enough, I just may have some to sell at a "punk rock garage sale" a friend and I are having at a show on Friday  Cheesy

I hope you guys like them! Muah!
26  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My First Purse! Teaching myself how to sew on my moms old machine :) on: March 28, 2006 08:01:16 AM
I never knew how hard pattern instructions were to read. I couldnt have done it without the help of my *ahem* step mom (i dont like that phrase). Anyways, its my first one, so far I've just been sewing pillows. Smiley Anyone know where to get sewing patterns for beginners that dont have a clue?

27  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / T-shirt pillow, My first sewing project Too cool! on: March 07, 2006 09:26:34 AM
I've never sewn anything before so I was excited to try this, something new. I turned this t-shirt into a pillow. I dont have a sewing machine so I spent like 2 hours stitching by hand.. I had no idea how hard and time consuming that would be, but it was so worth it. I cant wait to make more!!

You guys inspire me   Cheesy
28  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Necklace, earring set.. Made for a Swap! Weeeeeeeeee!!! on: February 27, 2006 09:04:07 PM
Hello there! I was in a jewelry swap on swap-bot.com in January and unfortunately some people didnt recieve anything, so I volunteered to send out some handmade jewelry to one of those people.

Its kinda hard to tell from the pic, but the chain is sterling silver and the tube type findings and beads on the earrings are gold. I only put one gold tube on the necklace for a modern assymetrical look.

You think she'll like?
29  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Self Portrait, acrylic paint, black and white, 1st painting in 2 years!!! :D on: February 23, 2006 09:24:09 AM
I havent sat down and completed a paintiing in a loooooong time. I was wondering the isles at Michaels a couple of weeks ago and decided to get some new paint brushes and some canvases. And this is the result, I used a picture I took of myself not too long ago and watered down some acrylic paint and just went at it. I never was good with backgrounds, but why complicate things? It felt so good to do this I simply must start painting regularly again! Let me know what you think, any advice and criticism is appreciated!  Smiley

30  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / First Post! Jewelry, Earrings, etc.. PICS! Happy to be a part of CRAFTSTER!! :D on: February 20, 2006 06:50:18 AM
Hi everyone! I've been making jewelry for about 6 months now. Let me know what ya think! Comments and criticism are very welcome!  Cheesy

Here is a necklace I made for my aunt out of fiberoptic glass beads and swarovski pearls.

The earrings are wrapped in sterling wire, with matching bracelet.

I saw the gun charm earrings in an online boutique and just had to recreate them! Wink

And a necklace and earring set. I love the gold foil in back glass beads, sooo pretty.

Thanks so much for having a look, I hope you guys like! Btw, I'm so happy to have found this site. You are all extremely talented and inspire me to try new things!
