21  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Happiest Place on Earth (IMG Heavy) on: February 20, 2006 09:52:34 PM
it was my birthday, no better place to go.

I wish the quality of some of these pictures had come out better, but because we were on rides, the speed of my film and the near to darkness, and no flash photograhy. I wish Id taken more than one roll and half of another, because if you try to buy a roll of film at Disneyland, the cheapest you will find it is for 8 dollars..bleh.

what about the open air swapmeet. Ive been going for the past few weekends. If you guys dont mind the slight ghettoness, its a great place to find things. I picked up over 8 items of clothing yesterday for just fifty cents each.

your kind words mean a lot to me. Im enjoying my photography more an more. Ive improved so much since I started, granted I have a better camera now than a few years ago. But Im bummed I cant do it as much anymore, due to having a new job. Im looking in getting a degree in photography in the future though, to go with my writing degree.

Ive only shot in film, and right now its all Id like to go for. Mainly because the process of developing the pictures fascinates me. It just sucks that its dying out because everyones moving onto digital. Ive also started buying vintage polaroids that are just super awesome, most still have film that works for it too. I bought my first kodak brownie the other day...we'll see how that goes.

I recently moved to Las Vegas from California, but my Canon and I used to go together everywhere. This was at the California Arboretum, in Arcadia, if anyone would like to know. Personally, some of my favorite pictures of mine ever. ever ever

Im sooooooooooo into crochet right now, Ive got so many yarns in line to start scarves. I was taught by mom, so I know zero of the technical terms, I know a few cool designs but Im dying to learn some new stuff. So far Ive only found JoAnn. Cause theyre always having a sale on some junk.

What sucks about moving to las vegas I think, is that everyone who lives here pretty much has grown up with the same group of friends, and its hard to break into a new group. And (gasp) the only people Ive really been making friends with are people who are aliens to the city and cant find friends either. Its so silly, people just arent as friendly sometimes. But Im excited to perhaps meet some crafty girls like me Smiley

edit: heres my myspace, so we can maybe get to know each other better

the picture is a bit blurry, but theres lots of pretty colorful shells on the bottom. Id love to find something else to put in there. Last time I had a rock, and the betta wouldnt even go near it.

well I have him in a large beautiful vase, it holds a gallon of water right now. but theres a long neck with no water, so he cant jump out.

Id been checking websites about the heaters, I dont mind changing the water, but I know hed like a warmer environment. I had read somewhere they dont like filters because they break the bubbles they create on the surface. Dont know if theyre just crazy talk or if it differs from betta to betta.

Someone was telling me to get one of those jellylike kids toys that stretch and have a little ball inside, they look kinda like anemones, but I think theyre toxic!

Id love to give him some friends, but I dont want him to fight, or eat them. So Im still waiting for the bigger tank. I had some other underwater plants before, but they died and rotted only after a week, and I got them from Petco too. So I just went with the bamboo. I do feed him though. Im not the kind of person who thinks they eat the bamboo or whatever. I had gravel in there before, but I took it out last week cause I realized it makes the water stink.

This is my work in progress, Im so excited to make my betta happy.
