The big bear is fabulous! And I love that the idea of creating outfits for him/her as a follow-up. Thank you for taking this on!

Very cute! This will be such fun. I'm already thinking of possible materials to use for my frankenteddy parts.

Frankenteddy! I love this idea, but I haven't got the sewing machine out of storage, so I am going to watch from the sidelines.
I think depending on the size, it might even be easier to hand-sew it.

That I can do. If this happens and the parts can be hand-sewn, I would love to join. This would result in one very cool teddy.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Leopard Print Old Ladies Shirt No More!:: a purrrfect surgery on: January 17, 2007 05:45:51 AM
Purrrfect surgery, indeed! I looked at this thread and I thought "oh... if only I were 25 years younger," but you look a bit like one of my daughters who is 25 years younger and I could do something like this for her, and I bet she'd wear it. So, thank you for the inspiration!

Neat that you got to create with your grandmother. I love the circles. They would look cute on a hat, too.

8  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Re: 'What do you look like?" atcs! on: January 15, 2007 12:29:06 PM
Yea! I have finally made 10 posts (I'm not very chatty so this was not easy Smiley) and now I can post my self-portrait ATC. I"m not 100% happy with the card, but I like the idea and will work on another one to get it right so I can use it for my avatar. There is a clue to my screenname involved, but mostly it is books and purple.

I love your Castle card, craftsbian. And I agree, it does have Bront-esque feel!

I like the Make A Wish fabric card. I haven't had much luck with fabric, mostly because I haven't got my sewing machine out of storage and I just can't get the look I want with glue. The dandelion in the Make A Wish card has got me inspired, though. When I get the tree put away this weekend, I'm going to dig out my sewing machine.
