I love the yarn.  The hat makes me happy.  I wear it all the time now.  The pattern is from Get Your Crochet On.

Yea,
it's a worthwhile investment.  I've already made three hats from the book.  They are all fun designs.
6  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: For a friend who underwent a hysterectomy, a happy uterus! **Now with patter on: April 08, 2009 04:25:15 PM
That is simply wonderful.  You and your friend have great sense of humor.  Phenomenal.
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / kool rock ski on: April 08, 2009 04:22:53 PM
This is my version of the Kool Rock Ski hat from Get Your Crochet On.
It's done in cotton yarn.  I left out the elastic.  Also, you can't tell from the pic, but try to imagine an enormous pom pom on the top of the hat, done up in all the colors of the hat (grays and blues).

The hat was a request from my godson, the dashing young model in the pic.

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Ruffle tunic tank on: March 25, 2009 07:43:11 PM
I would not have guessed that it was a goodwill tshirt.  Very elegant.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: dragon skirt! on: March 22, 2009 10:27:42 PM
I basted it, and still managed to break a needle.  I didn't realize I had put it in backwards.  Oh well.  I've been wearing this skirt whenever I'm not working.  It is so comfortable and makes me feel invincible.  I tell you, this skirt has special powers.
10  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Guinea Piggies! on: March 12, 2009 10:21:09 PM
They look surprisingly real.  I will join in the guinea pig nostalgia and say that mine was named Caramelo.  He was paper-trained and could stand up and beg (though not for long, before he'd fall over).
