That's the last thing I've created with polymer clay.
A lot of brooches:

Materials and Tools:
-Polymer Clay in hot pink, blue, black, white and purple.
-Flower Cutters in different sizes
-Star cutters in different sizes
-Pasta Machine (or roller)

First of all you need to know what you want!!!
Then, condition each of the clays individually starting with the lightest color.
Make sheets with pasta machine, and don't forget to do the biggest flower thicker than rest, by this way you make the brooche stronger.
Once baked, glue pieces to brooches. I use a two components glue named Araldit, but E-6000 is perfect.
If you want to add ribbons you only have to put them between piece and brooch.
