In the middle of June, I'm throwing a surprise 25th anniversary party for my parents.  I have a couple things planned that I'd like to do but would like some ideas and I know you guys have some. 

  The theme for the party is obviously silver & I'd also like to use turquoise.  The party is going to be in a shelter house in a local park and is in mid June.  So far, I'm planning on making a slideshow of pictures of my parents throughout their marriage, a CD with various love songs, a really neat centerpiece (http://www.marthastewart.com/portal/site/mslo/menuitem.3a0656639de62ad593598e10d373a0a0/?vgnextoid=48f0608f8532f010VgnVCM1000003d370a0aRCRD&autonomy_kw=anniversary%20party&rsc=header_8) and I plan on displaying photos of them in some way.

Does anyone have any good ideas or tips?  Anything about recipes, decorations, throwing surprise parties, anniversary parties, or parties in general would be helpful! 

Does anyone know a pattern for a homemade sarong?  Or just how to make one.  I want a longer one, probably mid-calf and can't find any in stores.  Anything would be a great help!!

I am currently in the last week of my first year of college.  One of the girls who I have become super close with is not coming back to the same school next year.  I decided to make a little gift for her.  I have most of it planned out.

• I made her a picture slideshow of all of us.
• She collects charms, so I'm going to get a friendship charm
• I bought a picture frame to put our picture into and I'm going to personalize it
• I'm going to buy stationary, envelopes and such.

The only problem I'm facing is with the slideshow.  I have finished making it, except I need to add some songs.  What are some good songs to add?  I've been searching the internet and have found some.  However, I don't want all sad songs that are just gonna make her cry.  I'd really like some good upbeat songs that go along with happy friend pictures. 

Any ideas?

I live in a college dorm and my *new* roommate recently changed our room around.  (She kept complaining)  We had our beds bunked and they are now down and our room is tiny!!



When the beds were bunked I just had the pictures and the corkboard I made on the wall.  The other bed was just above the pictures (can you picture this?) and the calendar and clock was not there.  Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to make this look nice again.  I want to keep my pictures, but they can be on the wall in a different way.  Anything thing else would be nice too.  Thanks!
