Absolutely SPECTACULAR! This ROCKS!!!
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Boye interchangeables vs. knitpicks options on: July 21, 2007 11:27:06 PM
The Denise set is the way to go- the one turn click lock can't be beat. I bought my mum the Boye set a while back and she had all kinds of trouble with it (needles unscrewing and even worse- tightening them too tight only to strip the threads, making them unusable).

I bought us each a Denise set and never need to buy needles again. They are "pricey"- but the set has just about every needle we'll ever need.

Just my opinion  Smiley

PS: I am in the process of making a cozy to fit over the set- just a little one skein project.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: can yarn be cursed? on: July 21, 2007 11:12:44 PM
Well, I certainly feel better... I thought I was the only one who thought certain yarn could be "cursed"! I had a blanket project going (on and on and on) that I was using plain old Red Heart worsted weight yarn to make... EVERY time I worked on it, I'd fall asleep, so I convinced myself it had a "sleep curse" on it (I never zonked out on any other project- including blankets/ throws)... eventually I had to just give it away (unfortunately, I also gave away the "sleep curse".... but at least it isn't MY "curse" anymore  Grin )!

Hey- I am noticing other posts that mention Red Heart yarn... hmmmmm... we may be on to something, here!  Wink

Ooh- is she from TOYS TO KNIT? I have that book and have YET to make something from it. You did a magnificent job... I adore her ballet slippers! And great job on her hair (I always have the WORST time with the hair)! Beautiful beautiful doll!

Hahaha that is undoubtedly one of the most adorable things I have ever seen! I got bored one day and started making little hats for my stuffed animals... good to know I am not the only one with a little too much time on my hands, sometimes.  Wink Thanks for the smile! You rock!
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Shark Hat! on: December 16, 2006 09:36:52 PM

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: My First Picture Post!! - Knitted Ornaments on: December 08, 2006 02:50:41 AM
The ornaments are also in the book Handknit Holidays: Knitting Year-Round for Christmas, Hanukkah, and Winter Solstice (by Melanie Falick)- minus the monogrammed initials. You did a beautiful job.

LOVE the Mr. Hanky! Too cute!  Smiley
