1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / cupcake skirt on: March 19, 2006 04:40:20 PM
I made this skirt for my friend for a costume party

the costumes (except for hers) have all deteriorated by this point.

just a simple happy fluff-skirt that I thought made her look like a cupcake. No one else agreed, of course. But still. :] hooray for poof.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / regular skirt -- friggin hot fabric. on: February 13, 2006 03:42:25 AM
hey. first post/ first non-recon skirt

The local Jo-Anns was going out of buisness and I found this lovely fabric  in the upholstery section. no problem. Went about excitedly making a circle-square skirt that was a) 4 inches too big in the waist and b) unlined. so the nasty white 'wrong-side' of the fabric showed. sigh.

so it sat in my closet for a few months until I finally went out and got some black fabric to line it with. I did that, sewed the waist up too small, and now have this! yeah, it didn't really change. It hangs better, I guess with the weight of the lining.

Doing twirlys turns it into a tablecloth, as you can see, so I won't be doing that too often...
