mushroom bag! daughter already claimed, stuffed with action figures

my favorite, world of warcraft horde symbol. need to put this one high up away from tiny prying fingers.

a clock, two pieces came off while shipped but no fear, easily glued back together.

all together now

i lost my camera's power cord so i had to resort to crappy cellphone pics! she also made a beautiful chain mail and green beaded necklace, i couldn't get a good shot with my cell. i love it all, thanks so much hgdmm!

JEALOUS! You wanna send your drop spindles and directions (and maybe a person to talk me through it) my way?

Sure! I have a Cascade Little Si drop spindle, great little tool to learn on. She is not much to look at but I found spinning to be easy on it. I tried a fancy one once and it just did not feel right. My first yarn turned out quite sloppy but I progressively got better with each new hank I made. Pre drafting did wonders for me. Pm your addy and I can send it as soon as I get back from Vegas!

Grin prince could come out with a yarn, too. it would only be one kind: chenille. and it would only come in one color: purple!

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: i knit scarves! (img intense!) on: August 20, 2007 10:48:39 PM
strangely, natural blue is a lot more neck friendly then natural earth - to me at least. i knit the drop stitch with size 11 needles and danica with size 9 which i'm sure made the difference. i used 3 balls on the danica.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / i knit scarves! (img intense!) on: August 20, 2007 10:02:09 PM
the first one is tragicheroine's anthropologie scarf. i first attempted this right when i learned and i kept messing up the k2p2 rib. i had to start over like 6 times until i gave up. i tried it again later and realized that while i was doing k2p2 for the first row, i wasn't switching to p2k2 for the second row. i was still doing k2p2!  Roll Eyes

i used 2 balls of yarn bee icelandic jewels in peridot with size 10.5 needles. i used the clover pom pom makers and man, i can't believe i ever tried to make them by hand.

this one is my own pattern, a drop stitch scarf using two balls of patons sws in natural earth. took only two days to finish!

i like to call this one the grimace scarf! two balls of moda dea curious, made for a friends birthday.

this is also my own pattern, a drop stitch scarf knit lengthwise. i didn't bind off loosely at all and ended up with a corkscrew scarf. oops! used two balls of yarn bee aurora in deep water.

aaand lastly i finished danica using patons sws in natural blue. this one took a lot longer and my gauge really stinks. i still haven't blocked it!
