2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Flat beaters and dough hooks??? on: October 16, 2007 03:12:09 PM
In my cooking class at school, they got new flat beaters and dough hooks for the KitchenAid mixers, and had 1986237485290 left overs.  My teacher told me to throw them away, but I stole them instead!  I have 3 flat beaters and 3 dough hooks, what can I do with them?

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: THE GENERIC BOYFRIEND GIFT THREAD: A How-To! on: September 28, 2007 04:22:09 AM
What kind of foods does your boyfriend avoid?

Pretty much every fruit and vegetable known to man.  Tomatoes, bananas, soups, anything green, mushrooms, potatoes, ketchup.

We've been dating for 5 months and I've seen him eat:
pizza, beef burritos, pistachios, life cereal, alfredo pasta, crackers, and Mountain Dew.

I don't want to force him to eat thing, I just want to be able to make things he likes and maybe add a "gross" food in with it(but tell him of course).  He also needs to eat healthier...

My boyfriend is ummm...HARD to craft/cook for.  I've make him things and he liked them, but I'm running out of ideas.  He's a unique guy, he's REALLY skinny, has a mohawk, pierced tongue and gauged his ears, band tees..mostly black, he's very independent and quiet and so sweet.  Problem is...I don't know how to describe it...umm when he first watched Fight Club, he really took it to heart.  He questions the stuff we have to do everyday, like go to school, and just doesn't understand why he can't do whatever he wants.Smiley  But I need some ideas on what to make for him.  And if you had a few recipes for EXTREMELY picky eaters, I would really appreciate it.  Thanks!

6  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: a short, no-hassle style with curly hair -- possible? on: August 31, 2007 05:47:34 AM
1.  DO NOT TOWEL DRY YOUR HAIR!  It causes lots of frizz.  Use a big, old t-shirt instead.  This helps keep the frizzies away.

2.  Shampoo is not really good for curly hair.  Use a good conditioner and baking soda.

3.  This one sounds crazy, but avoid silicones, or "cones".  They can only be removed with sulfate shampoos, which are murder on curls.

4.  Do not brush your hair, wet or dry.  Brushing curls while they are dry just makes a huge frizz-ball.  Brushing your hair while wet causes the hairs to break more easily.  Use a wide tooth comb instead.

5.  Use a mixture of baking soda and conditioner to get your hair really clean and remove build-up.

6.  Look up the "Curly Girl" method.

7.  LOVE YOUR CURLS.  They are beautiful.

I have a leather scented candle.  I love it, even though I'm a vegetarian. Cheesy
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Fish and bug earrings on: July 17, 2007 12:38:55 PM
I have that exact fish, but in purple!  I got it out of a quarter machine at a Chinese restraunt.  Mine was reborn as a necklace, but I love your earrings!
