That is a gorgeous shirt and it looks really great on you.
2  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Healthy Eats-Along 2012 on: February 29, 2012 05:00:26 AM
Third shifts are hard.  I used to work in community mental health group homes and pulled a lot of midnight shifts and it was never easy to eat right those days.

I'm glad I found this thread, I've been losing motivation to exercise again.  This week though, I have a new goal.  If I do all my exercise that I'm supposed to, I can order a belly dance piece of music and if I do two weeks straight through, I can order a hip belt of my very own, instead of having to borrow from the instructor.  Smiley  It's definitely motivating.  Smiley

I'm doing pretty well on the food side.  I love to cook and I made a bunch of things this weekend to eat up during the week, so I haven't been going out or buying extras.

That's really cute!  The colors and patterns are so nice for a baby.

I also love the tumbler quilt, but I haven't tried one yet.

My go to wedding quilt is one of the disappearing 9 patch patterns, although all three of the quilts I'm in the process of making for weddings are different patterns.

That's a gorgeous quilt!  Your daughter has excellent taste!  The zebra makes it even more unique.  Great job!

My cousin is due in May and she just told me that she was decorating in these colors and owls.  I may just have to borrow this idea for her quilt.  I know she'd love it.  It looks great!

That is one of the cutest baby quilts ever.  I love all the details in it.  What a lucky boy you will have!

I always love seeing other reproduction quilts, because I keep thinking I should get some of these fabrics to play with.  Your quilts are both gorgeous and I love the combo and piecing.

I joined last year, but didn't finish more than a couple of quilts, so hopefully this year things will go better.

So far I my list is:

1. Modified Bear Paw wedding quilt for friends- Due in April

2. Stars and Moons wedding quilt for friends- Due in June

3. Wedding quilt for my brother and his new wife- Due in June (waiting on my Mom to finish her half of the squares)

4.Wedding quilt for friends- Due in December.  This one I had a pattern for, but it turned out terrible, so I have to figure out a new one.  Probably a Wedding Braid in jewel tones

5. Owly Baby Quilt for my cousin- Due in May (but really when I get it done)

6. Black batik quilt for me.  Chinese Lantern pattern with batiks on black background. I want to hand stitch it with bright threads.

7. Wedding quilt for a college friend, no idea pattern or when it's due.

8. Quilted picnic or breakfast set for step cousin's.  Due in November.

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: The Cannon - Replica of the widely used Civil War Cannon on: February 16, 2012 03:40:46 PM
That's great!  I have shot a cannon before and it's so cool that you built one on your own.

That is such a clever take on a tshirt quilt!  I really like the design and that you incorporated your partner's interests into it as well.
