1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / First attempt at shrinky dink: Domme! on: April 01, 2007 02:18:27 PM
I'm a long-time lurker and this isn't my first post, but I haven't posted in a while.

My first couple of tries were kind of a disaster, as the shrinky dink curled up on itself and refused to uncurl. I didn't have a hole punch, thinking I wouldn't need it, it's a luxury, blah blah blah, but I was definitely wrong. I ended up using a hammer and flat screwdriver to make a square hole.

2  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Where to donate a sewing machine? on: August 26, 2006 02:11:16 PM
I have a sewing machine that is damaged but easily fixable. Selling it is pointless and pitching it is wasteful.
3  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Paragard IUD on: March 25, 2006 08:24:50 PM
Any ideas for something besides jewelry that could involve a Paragard IUD? I don't really like the colors I could match it to for a necklace and I only have one, so no earrings.

I want to be able to wear it and show my IUD pride. (I have one as my form of contraception and I love love love it.)
4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Completed Projects / First silk screening: Dominatrix top on: March 25, 2006 08:21:06 PM
Well, I busted out my new silk screening supplies and made this top.

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Stain on a tee shirt covered by a cassette applique. on: March 25, 2006 07:58:39 PM
I bought this shirt with a weird blotch on it. Nice cut. Like the way it hangs on me. Covered up the stain with a cassette applique.

6  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Help! My sewing machine broke! on: February 16, 2006 04:41:40 PM
Hi. This is my very first post. I love this site, by the way.

I'm making a reversible ribbon belt for my sister's birthday. I was going to sew it on my machine for the durability and then hand embroider on it. Her birthday dinner is in two days.

My sewing machine just broke! The bobbin refuses to turn, let alone thread to the needle. I have an ancient Singer model.

Are there websites or anything that can help me? The instructions book is of no help at all.
