1  Re: I Love Jesus Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by SUNSETxVEINS on: June 23, 2007 08:14:46 PM
Sorry it took so long to post! I received my package a while ago, as knittinfiasco said, and I absolutely LOVE everything!

Here's a picture of it all. Sorry in advance for the blurriness of these pictures; I blame my mom's camera. Everything looks so much better in person! :]

One of my favorite things in the package - the Hawk Nelson shirt! My favorite color is green, and Hawk Nelson are my favorite Christian band. It helps that about 98% of what I wear is band t-shirts, so you can bet that I'll get a lot of use out of this. :]

This is a close-up of the quiet time journal. I write a lot, so this is a really thoughtful idea. The next picture is a close-up of the inside, which contains my favorite verse ("Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young; but set an example for believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity." - 1 Timothy 4:12)

A cute, colorful trinket box which is, as knittinfiasco said, a greatsize for my guitar pick collection! The inside of the box bears the translation of the Greek on the top (Jesus Christ: Son of God, Savior). Along the sides, it reads "Don't store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat and rust corrodes, and thieves break in and steal. Store up your treasures in Heaven, where moths, rust, and thieves, can't get them, FOR WHEREVER YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE YOUR HEART IS, ALSO."

A keyring with a Fall Out Boy (my favorite secular band) and World Neighbors (www.wn.org) pendant. Again, the blurriness makes the picture a little difficult to see, but you can guess how cool it is. :]

My absolute favorite thing in the package is this GORGEOUS crocheted hat, just like one on my Wists, with "I (heart) Jesus" on the side. The real hat's trim is a much deeper shade of red than it shows in the pictures (or on my monitor, at least). When I saw this, I immediately put it on and wore it around the house for the rest of the day. :]

Here's a really neat knitted cross bookmark, which will absolutely come to good use, because I read all the time.

And last but not least - an action shot!

Thanks again, knittinfiasco, for your thoughtfulness. I really loved everything, and I enjoyed swapping with you![/URL]

I received from Sitki last week, but I've been reeeeeally busy and had a lot going on, and I'm finally getting the chance to get online. But it's a totally awesome package, and I really love it! My color was green. I'm sorry if it's not the best picture. My camera seems to have a mind of its own...  Roll Eyes

For sight, she sent a copy of a really awesome painting she did. I love it!

For scent, she sent vanilla & ylang ylang bath salts that she made (which, by the way, smells great and is super neat).

For taste, she sent watermelon Pop Rocks (which is my favorite flavor Tongue), a mint cookie crunch Choxie bar, and a big pack of Doublemint gum.

For touch, she sent an adorable felt snake that was actually on my wist (because I lovelovelove Snakes on a Plane).

For hearing, she sent a lime green shaker/maraca/? that she made. It's really cute, and my cat has stolen it and is now chasing it around the house. Grin

Oh! And for "craft" (because she said we forgot that one!), she sent me a spool of green ribbon.

I love it! Thanks again, Sitki!

3  Re: Clandestine Duct Tape Purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by SUNSETxVEINS on: February 01, 2006 10:43:03 AM
Haha. Definitely not such a bad thing.

But yeah, I still have it! I just enlarged it (Unfortunately, I don't have the enlarged version anymore) and cut around the skull. I figured it'd be too hard to try to cut those intricate lines in duct tape.

4  Clandestine Duct Tape Purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by SUNSETxVEINS on: January 30, 2006 07:17:26 AM
This is the result of a huge love for Clandestine Industries and a huge love for duct tape.

The entire thing is made of duct tape except for a Velcro closure on the front flap. The bottom corner looks a little weird because before I took the picture it was accidently sat on. Haha. But overall, I'm pretty proud of it. Smiley

5  Some of my first projects [Semi-pic heavy] in Stenciling: Completed Projects by SUNSETxVEINS on: January 30, 2006 07:10:48 AM
I've actually been stenciling for a while now, but I've only been a member of Craftster for about a day (long time lurker), so I figured I'd post a few of my first stenciling projects.

My beloved deerboy shirt. This was my second stencil ever, and I'm really proud of it.

This is a shirt I made for one of my best friends, who is positively obsessed with Andy from Fall Out Boy. Sure, the Homeboy shirts are a wee bit overdone, but she wears this shirt more than any other shirt she owns, so I'd say it was worth it. =) (There are a few wet spots in this picture, as the paint was still drying from the bridges.)

Thiss'un was for my dad, who is a Star Trek fanatic.

Close-up of front.

Close-up of back.

One of the aforementioned deerboy shirts made for my brother-in-law's little sister.

Aaaaand that's all I have saved on my computer right now. I'll upload some more pictures later of other things I've done. Hope you guys like 'em. =)
