What about blanket? Do a small car seat sized taggie, roll it up and pop it in. You could use cowboy/Indian themed fabric.

My mom made my son this sweater and I just love it too much not to share! (I made the baby 3 1/2 weeks ago, isn't he adorable!)

I'm sure you could use anything absorbent, just add an extra layer or two to make sure it will soak up a lot!

Burp cloths! cut 2 thick flannel rectangles, sew them together and your done! They are also really easy to 'fancy up' with some ribbon/embroidery, cut them in a bean shape to make them 'fitted'...go crazy! They're also pretty cheep to make.
