41  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re:I'm looking for a cute apron pattern on: January 26, 2004 07:55:56 AM

Thanks so much!! You're all too kind! I'm very happy you guys liked my apron.  I'm also very excited it was added to the "featured projects"!!! Thanks so much crafter administrator!!!

I just wanted to add something I forgot to mention about the apron. I used the pattern I mentioned before for apron "B but I changed it a little. It asked for rickrack all around it and on the front from top to bottom right beside the pockets. I thought that was just too much rickrack for me so I just used it around the pockets. That's it, other than that I just followed the pattern.

Thanks again!!

I also used the tutorial. Thanks a lot Jordy!!! You're my hero!

This one is for my niece.
This is the purse that I talked about in another post. I made it too wide, cause i like long/wide purses and then it would like cave in right in the middle. I put cardboard in the bottom and put the velcro inside for the closure, cause the button closure wasn't enough. I think it worked. Although I still have to test it with all my stuff inside.

Pretty cute purses!   Grin

I too tried the purses and made one with lemons lining hehe. Although mine is not a messenger bag, i used jordy's tutorial too. I had a couple of problems though, since I tried to make it wider, the purse caves in. I'm trying to figure out a way to fix it. When I do and when I get my camera back I'll post a picture too.

done!! I finished my apron yesterday. It took me longer than expected because after working on it sunday and doing & undoing for quite a while I developed a back pain. Anyhow my back has been making it hard for me to stay at the sewing machine too long. Anyhow after working on the apron a little bit more Monday evening & then yesterday evening, I was able to finish it.

I must say I made like 500 mistakes hehe, so it's not perfect but I'm very proud of it. I'll post a picture as soon as I get my digital camera back (which i lent), hopefully tomorrow evening.

i'm doing apron B.

The way to post a picture is actually by typing the picture address in between this tags  . You're basically linking the picture, so you have to upoload it somewhere else first. I think that's the only way to do it, if not please correct me...
and yeah please post your apron!

Hi Jan &  Misty,

Well, I was about to start working on it yesterday, when i started reading the instructions and realized it asked for biased tape, i thought i had bought some and looked for it like crazy and never found it, so I have to get me some.
Now i have to go get some and promise to work on it this weeked.  Tongue hehe.

Thanks so much for offering to help Jan, I'm pretty sure we'll need it.

When you can't see the pics just "Right" click on the image square w/ the x. Then click on "properties". Highlight the address "url" and press you "Ctrl"  + "c" keys to copy.   Click on the address bar and press "Ctrl" + "V" keys to paste.  That should open up the page where the picture is. When you're done looking at it just click the "Back" button on the toolbar to come back to crafster.org.

That works most of the time.
