Wow - there's nothing frugal-looking that I can see.  You did an amazing job on everything.  Seriously, have you ever thought about being a wedding planner?  Right now, frugality would be a great niche.
2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Glow in the Dark Kodama! (with link to pattern) on: May 21, 2010 10:19:04 AM
These are amazing!  The Kodama were my favorites in the movie. I love that you used glow in the dark yarn for these.

Amazing!  This skirt is a total work of love, it's SO beautiful!  I'd be proud to wear it!

Seriously beautiful work.

5  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Re: 1560's Venetian Renaissance Gown on: March 05, 2008 08:48:25 AM
You did a great job!  This is absolutely beautiful, and the fabric color looks wonderful on you!

Since I started classes again, I've stopped sewing, and have been crocheting and knitting instead.  This makes me want to break out the sewing machine!

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Partridge Family; Mondrian Afghan on: February 13, 2008 11:00:12 AM
I love this!!!!!  I can't say I 've ever seen a Partridge family crocheted afghan before - it's so amazingly unique!
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Felted Scarf on: February 13, 2008 10:58:08 AM
I love this.  The felting actually brings out the basketweave pattern really well.  I think it's perfect the way it is.
9  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Re: Nifty Skullcap on: February 13, 2008 10:51:02 AM
Thank you!!!!

I highly recommend the book - it has a lot of cute patterns that I've actually used -as opposed to the other books I have that have lots of okay things that I'll probably never make.

I have more of the drab, scratchy yarn - maybe I need to make his son a matching hat.  ;O)  Silly man-rules!
10  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Nifty Skullcap on: February 13, 2008 09:11:02 AM
Crocheted skullcap for my husband - to keep his head warm!  I used the pattern from the Stitch and Bitch - Happy Hooker, and added alternating front and back post double crochet to add the ribbing.

And now, the goofy action shot: (this is closer to the actual colors)

I used the most drab yarn I had in scratchy wool - otherwise, it would be deemed 'not manly' and would violate some kind of man-law.  ;O)

I was amazed it fit him, but it does and he really likes it!
