I don't know any Asian markets in that area, but is it produce you're trying to find subs for, or things like miso? Also, how do you prepare your miso soup? Not to say that it might not get tiresome having it daily, but there are tons of different things you can add to give it variety.
I love every single one of the pages you've shown so far. I have finally found books that I can guiltlessly alter and have begun to bring them home from work. I'm quite excited to begin my first and find your work very inspirational.
I'm in awe! Even your doodle squigglies are better than mine! I love the color choices and using a canvas is a good idea. Have you ever skipped a pre-fab canvas and just bought the frame (or made your own)? My painter friend had offered to show me how to do it to hang some fabric since I was going to use a pre-made canvas. I'm wondering if it's worth using up some of his time for a lesson.
That is absolutely stunning. I haven't done any cross stitch since I was a child, but if I had found a kit as beautiful as that one, I may have never quit. Do you have any tips regarding embarking on a project that large?
I love the Blue Sky cotton. It's soooo soft. A lot of the organic cottons come in some nice neutral shades, although I haven't noticed any variegated neutrals if that's what you're going for.
