I love, love, love the looks of these in clubs/where ever.
But, they are expensive!
Any ideas on how to make them?

Inspiration can be found here. http://www.showtec.co.uk/led-effects/led-furniture.html

I need some more ideas. I want to throw in some more memorable ideas, as well as some things that show off my girly, sewing, fashion side. Help? THANK YOU!

Our school colors are blue and black. It's a bit bland so I'm going for a black, dark blue, light blue, and silver theme. I'm going to try to throw in quite a few touches of silver & diamonds for a girly, fashiony theme.

We are getting one of those big white tents to put in our back yard and setting up the tables under it. A bunch of balloons will be floating in it. I'm not totally sure about the decor in it yet. We are having long tables with black table clothes and blue plates & napkins. The centerpieces are going to be picture frames and we are also going to having words on the tables.

My food, cake and pictures are going to be in the garage. Instead of cake, I'm having cupcakes. My mom is making me a giant cupcake cake. It's going to be big like that, but it won't look like that one. We are building a cupcake stand thing, so my giant one will be on top and there will be like stairs going down with the other ones. My dad is building the stand out of clear plastic and spraying it from underneath with glitter spray. It's going to look really cool. Plus, we are getting those silver cupcake foils, so it'll be pretty shiny and sweet.

My pictures table is going to be pretty sweet. I made this big 2008 thing for my senior pictures, it's the smallest one. I'm going to tack my senior pictures onto the front of it and have it on the table. Instead of a guest book, I've made scrap book pages with my senior pictures with spaces for signing.

Also, I'm having my cap & gown put on one of my sewing mannequins.

How the heck do you do this?

Example:

Do you just iron it. What about after you wash it?

Thanks everyone!

The color of the band in the original dress is the same as the skirt color. I want to make it an apple red.

Any ideas on making this? Also, do you think I could use a stretch type lace? I didn't really want a zipper...

This is the original dress. I think I want to get rid of the lace on top and just have a plain cream top. Then an apple red silk tie and teal skirt.
8  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Halloween Costume Ideas for pregnant women on: October 30, 2007 09:43:55 AM
I was at a party this weekend and there was a pregnant couples costume.

The women was an egg, and the yolk was her stomach. Her husband was bacon. It was a simple costume, she made the egg out of cardboard and cut out a hole for her stomach.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Homecoming Help. on: September 26, 2007 02:08:04 PM
Ah, I'm a bit scared now.

I do have a backup. So, if I fail at this, I'll be okay.

And, I don't have class Thursday and Friday. So, I do have the free time.

Also, is a pattern necessary? Would it be possible to free-hand it.
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Homecoming Help. on: September 26, 2007 12:30:30 PM
Hey everyone!

Alright, so homecoming is Saturday night. And, I would like to make my dress. It's really late notice. And I have a backup, just is case.

But, I love this dress-

Questions-
Any ideas for a pattern? It looks pretty simple.

What kind of fabric would you suggest?

Do you think it can be done in 3 days?

How is the bow so perky?

THANKS!
