10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crochet pop can wrist cuff bracelets (with semi-TUTE) on: August 19, 2007 08:01:03 AM
For our family Christmas in August, our theme was "hand-made". I made these crocheted pop can wrist cuffs for my sister.

Wrist cuffs in action:

Materials:
1 pepsi can (or can of choice) I used the All American Rejects pepsi can
Tin snips
small amount of matching yarn
hole punch
yarn needle (to weave in ends)
crochet hook - you choose the size - anyone that will fit inside the hole
gloves (very sharp edges!)
2 buttons

I read through all of the instructions from Stitchy McYarnpants at her Tin Can Alley.
http://www.stitchymcyarnpants.com/tincan/tincan.html

I cut up my can leaving the ingredients and nutritional information off. lol I just wanted the image. Then, I just cut it in half!

Punch your holes where you want them, round off the edges and crochet around the holes. I did three sc in each hole and 4 or 5 in the corners.

At the inside edge, I did a chain for a loop and sewed a button to the other side for a closure. Repeat for the other side. Finito!
