For our family Christmas in August, our theme was "hand-made". I made these crocheted pop can wrist cuffs for my sister.http://her.blogware.com/_photos/2007-07-21%20016.sized.jpghttp://her.blogware.com/_photos/2007-07-21%20004.sized.jpg
Wrist cuffs in action:http://her.blogware.com/_photos/2007-08-08%20063.sized.jpg
1 pepsi can (or can of choice) I used the All American Rejects pepsi can
small amount of matching yarn
yarn needle (to weave in ends)
crochet hook - you choose the size - anyone that will fit inside the hole
gloves (very sharp edges!)
I read through all of the instructions from Stitchy McYarnpants at her Tin Can Alley.http://www.stitchymcyarnpants.com/tincan/tincan.html
I cut up my can leaving the ingredients and nutritional information off. lol I just wanted the image. Then, I just cut it in half!
Punch your holes where you want them, round off the edges and crochet around the holes. I did three sc in each hole and 4 or 5 in the corners.
At the inside edge, I did a chain for a loop and sewed a button to the other side for a closure. Repeat for the other side. Finito!
