Chuckle chortle gasp! Wish my neighbours knew how to play. Did once have the bottom half of a life sized mannequin (hard plastic) on a stand, filled the waist with flowers and put it on my patio - I loved it, my friends loved it...my neighbour was highly offended...get a grip eh! So I painted a pair of lips on the bum...another neighbour said they had to explain the concept to them (while laughing inside). Now I live in a small town and I have to be even more careful...someone gave me a garden art welded figure with a...well, probiscus, and even tho' it was abstract, they didn't like it at all! Is there anyplace I can live without offending people with my garden art - its not even obscene!

Hi. Check out Toronto Board of Education...they used to have a 'store' for teachers called ARTSJUNKTION...may still be in progress, but a super model for this endevour. Also check out RESTORE - in many cities now, takes reno left overs, overstock etc etc and sells them cheap with all profits to organizations building homes for those who can't afford proper accomodation. Also, open your yellow pages book, go section to section and pull out company names that may have offcuts, ends of lines etc etc, you'll end up with enormous resources and suppliers...and if you talk pretty, you may get them to give you further ideas on who to call. I was an art teacher until last June (retired early to be an artist full time) and getting only $6 per student per SEMESTER required all these tricks...and the kids made fabulous stuff!!!! Got lots of recycle project ideas for anyone who is interested. cheers all

Cool. Another idea....old tomatoe cages, cover with chicken wire and attach decorations and lights. I bought a green dollar store version and some dollar store green wire and twisted it all about making an interesting additional framework and added only lights...looked pretty cool in the window at night.
