1  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Make-A-Friend Swap Round 2 (CLOSED!!!) on: September 08, 2008 07:16:35 PM
Wow! I have not checked in in a long time. Sorry about that! Package three should be ready to go by Wednesday. I finished one item on Saturday and another one tonight. Now I'm just brainstorming some little extras and I'll be working on my letter tomorrow. I might craft one more small item if I can find a vital supply (fingers crossed!). Happy crafting!

3  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Two Things Combined Swap; NEW SENDOUT DATE July 14 on: July 07, 2008 09:08:09 AM
Yay! I was going to send today, but now I can send tomorrow with my other swap items and save a trip to the post office. I'm leaving for Mexico on Wednesday for a week, so my items need to be shipped before I go.

Thanks for the extension!

Hello crafters!
I finished one large item, am still working on a medium. Plus I have one extra thing in the works also, but it's small and too good to pass up. Smiley I'll definitely be sending out by or before the 7th.

Happy crafting!

I am home all afternoon, and am in the middle of a crafting binge! Besides my current two swaps that I'm in, I'm also finishing some belated birthday presents AND figuring out what to make my mom for her 50th birthday. I'm almost done with my three small items. I'll have to send this swap out early, as I'll be in Mexico (for work, but still! Woot!) from July 8th until the 14th.

Back to the sewing machine! Wink

Package Number Two!
An awesome kit for starting out with scrapbooking. I actually have a bunch of stuff from my roller derby days that I've been meaning to put in a book, so this is great motivation!

A second kit for learning to crochet. I'm afraid of yarn crafts, but I'll do my best!

Really beautiful fabrics for my sewing addiction. Tcha345 sent me a really nice assortment of styles and materials, and I can't wait to make things out of them...

Like maybe a bag! While I drink some coffee! These are some extras she threw in because she is just that kind of generous and awesome new friend and craft partner!

Thanks tcha!!!!!

Got my first package from tcha345!

First, items from her hometown. She sent me a hockey towel, a book on how to speak Pittsburgese, and an AWESOME dog puzzle made by two Amish brothers. I love dogs and she said this one reminded her of my pup. So sweet!

These items are the things she likes. She sent me a copy of the Phantom of the Opera (book version), a copy of her favorite Flogging Molly CD (which is awesome, because I studied abroad in Ireland and always wanted to get into FM), and a dragon statue and dragon claw necklace. Very cool!

Lastly, and my favorite thing, is this great little pillow. It's the letter Z from a scrabble board, and she is definitely good at scrabble - we've already played once on Facebook and she won. We're going to have a rematch soon. Smiley Scrabble is my favorite game also, and I really love the knitting and sewing time she put into this craft. Now I just have to make sure my dog doesn't eat it - he's been eyeing it since I opened the package!

Also, I received four very cool photos in a little scrapbook and a letter. Tcha345 sent me an additional letter after getting my package, which was a bonus treat. (I practically wrote a novel, and I'm hoping it inspired her to write more, instead of scaring her!)

Thanks Tcha! I really like my package and think we're going be great penpals!

Hello and checking in!
I've been super busy the last few weeks, but I have fininshed one medium item, which I'm excited about. I have the plans drawn up and the supplies assembled for the other medium craft, but I've been too nervous to actually start. It's a new kind of craft for me and the first step is the hardest. I still have plenty of time to figure it out though - and a back up craft if I totally fail. Smiley

I was one of the lucky peeps who needed to switch partners around! My first partner seemed cool, but there was an allergy conflict. *sad face* My new partner seems just as cool and I think we have a lot in common. And she already friended me on Facebook! Whee!

Check check check!

I've talked to my partner a few times and made some progress on a medium item. I have plans for a second medium, but am still working on the logistics. I crafted with Crafty McGluestick this weekend, and Murbeck - you're in for a treat! Wink

I'm still brainstorming too... luckily it's Friday, which is a good day for daydream about crafting while at work.

Congrats on your engagement Crafty McCrafterson! How exciting!
