Those. Are. FANTASTIC! I will definitely need to learn how to make some of those!
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Movie Knits on: April 03, 2006 01:46:41 PM
Ah, I was CRACKING UP during "Grey's Anatomy"! I actually didn't think the sweater Izzy gave Denny was actually one she knit, she kind of rolled her eyes when she gave it to him, I think it was just one she bought.

Anyway, it made me so happy to see them knitting, even if Mer was doing it so badly. Haha.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Knitting needles on airplanes? on: April 03, 2006 01:44:44 PM
I flew to and from Las Vegas on America West and had no problems. I had bamboo circulars.

I hope I'll be okay when I fly to Seattle this weekend!
4  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Odessa (Grumperina for MagKnits) KAL on: February 26, 2006 08:57:20 PM
I cast on for my Odessa last night! I'm using the recommended yarn and recommended needles.

This is my first in-the-round project, and let me tell you I had to start over more than once. But I've got the border so far, and I'm about to switch to the size 6 needles. Let's hope I do it correctly.

I just bought the yarn (Rowan Cashsoft DK in Ballad Blue) and needles for my Odessa!

This will be my first hat, and first project in the round. And first time using dpns.

Needless to say, I'm skipping the beads for my first hat.

I won't be able to cast on for sixteen days though, until the Olympics is over. (That's a lie, I'll probably cast on and work on it in secret, hiding from my Irish Hiking Scarf.)
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: panta! (from a finnish pattern). on: January 25, 2006 04:49:05 PM
I finally finished my panta!

US5s, Debbie Bliss alpaca silk yarn. I cut out the middle section (the largest sectionx2). This was my first time increasing, decreasing, and working with ribbing! I'm very happy with it.
