1  what should this be? It hasn't told me yet. in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by ragdoll193 on: June 30, 2011 11:52:46 AM
Hey craftsters!

So I just learned the linen stitch which is SUPER pretty in a variegated yarn. My little bit is about 3 inches wide and it doesn't want to be a scarf. What else can I make it into?

I have no need for coasters, or know anyone who does.

3  help me pick an accent fabric (apron straps) in Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions by ragdoll193 on: July 30, 2010 07:37:23 PM
hi craftsters!

I am in the process of making a reversible apron, and I have the cutest fabrics to use for each side (as seen below). My problem is that for the life of me, I cannot pick out a fabric to use for the straps. On the apron I made before this, for the same person who then paid me to make her another which is this one, I used the same fabric on both sides for the straps. Unfortunately, I believe my camera is buried, so I do not have a picture of the first apron.

I am willing to get a new fabric, but it would have to be from Joann's because of time constraints and a lack of other fabric shops around here. Luckily, they show their fabrics online!

I was thinking maybe something red? it needs to be something fun at least. color... let me know! I am so stumped!

These are the fabrics I am using for the apron, blue daisies on one side, green with ladybugs on the other:

on my computer, the colors are true to the fabric, though the lady bug red should be slightly brighter. they also match the pictures on joann's website. at least the blue does, I can't find the ladybugs.

this looks so familiar! I wonder if I saw your tree before making mine for digital art class in January?

5  My new Jayne hat :D in Knitting: Completed Projects by ragdoll193 on: February 25, 2010 07:36:32 PM
After a long while of crocheting, since I just learned in December, I have finally knit something! I would consider it my first successful knit hat, since it is the first one that fits well. and of course, it is a tribute to the cunning Jayne hat from Firefly  Kiss

on my very suitable model(slash fiance, slash craftster rotwulf):

and on me:

hopefully the webcam pics suffice Smiley
