21  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / Re: Polymer Clay Board? on: May 03, 2006 01:01:53 PM
That made me want to subscribe, but without a credit card and money (I'm 14)that would be hard. I feel so guilty. I give Craftster my love though. Embarrassed

i second that- i have a job, but I'm 17 and neither of my parents have credit cards or paypal. Sad i would if i could.

I noted in another post that there are pre-paid credit cards out there now.  It seems to be a new thing, but all the major ones are doing it (Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.)  I found mine at the CVS drugstore (all of them in my area have it).  My main goal was to buy stuff online because my identity was stolen before but I have gotten patterns from Roxycraft, paid my membership here, bought Leah's new book at tenspeedpress, AND it also works everywhere a debit card does as well (stores, gas stations, McDonalds Smiley )

The thing is, if you are broke they have them in small amounts all the way up to 200.  They are also only 5 dollars to activate. and another plus is that you don't even have to use your real address when you buy things online (unless you are having something shipped to there )

Here we go:  I'm a 26  mother of 2, wife of 1 Smiley  We live in Indiana.  I do a little of everything because I stay home all dang day.  I crochet, just learned how to knit and bought a new sewing machine.  I also was a chef for awhile before the family thing.  My husband is teaching me to play bass and he is in a band.  My life is full of fun and seems to be non-stop at times.  We like to stay as young as possible and music is a MUST in this house Smiley
my list:

1. Anything off my WIST

2. crochet patterns.  Any crochet patterns new or vintage.  Fun and funky would be great.

3. a pouch or roll to hold my hooks and needles in.  My current system is a mason jar on a nightstand so I would love anything!

4. patches and pins/buttons: any band or anything funny or fairy related

5. mixed cd's: local bands are always good, anything you listen to... I'm in a rut

6. anything with guitars... bass, electric, or acoustic or a T-Shirt that says, "Support Local Music
                                                                                                         Sleep with a musician"  Grin

7. Homemade journal or any journal for that matter.  I seem to be using more of them here lately.

8. legwarmers and/or armwarmers.  I have a pic of a few in my "wist"

9. food related things or stuff for the kitchen

10.  My husband and I train bonsai trees, so anything with bonsai on it... shirts, bags, tool pouch etc...

11. .  Hoodies.  Any hoodie or purse made from a hoodie.  XL or larger

12. Anything with Gizmo, bears, or little dolls (for my little girl)  any kind of stuffie would be awesome!

13.  Robots or Transformer anything ~ for my little man

14.  Stuff from another country.  Anything at all

15.  Surprise me!  Or stuff you are good at.  I love new things and Craftster people are amazing Grin

16.  Charms... for a bracelet.  1 or 100 it doesn't matter how many or what of.

17.  Mixed paper.  anything at all would be great  THANKS!!

18. This shawl.  How amazing is that?!  http://secure.elann.com/ShowFreePattern.asp?Id=107024  (dream on right Wink )

19.  Hair Stuff!!   I just chopped off about 6 inches this weekend and put about a million layers so I can now wear cute stuff again!!  YAY!

Other stuff I love:
. yarn in little batches or lots Smiley any type!
.  Harry Potter *guilty pleasure*
. anything philosophy... philosophy themed stuff would be awesome!!
. RENT and the fashion in it!  The scarves, legwarmers, hats..... it's great!!!

CRAP!!!!  I totally thought they were due to be sent out on the 5th!!!!  But that's probably the number in my head cos that's my last day at work, and one of my friends' birthday...I'll have to send it out tomorrow, as I don't get out of work early enough today....CRAP!  I'm sorry!!!

oh my gosh, i did the same thing!  poop!

I thought the same thing till I double checked.  I think it was the 5/1 and i just read the 5.

But I did get it out on time (maybe even earlier if the post man picked it up when I scheduled it) Smiley

Yay! I sent my CD out Friday afternoon- I'm so excited yet terribly nervous.  It's my first swap.  And I checked out what some others have gotten in the gallery... I'm sad to say what I'm sending pales in comparison.  I went a much simplier approach.. so dabba, I'm very sorry and I hope, despite the simplicity, you like it!

Don't feel bad I'm sure that I will like it.  I had to simplify mine as well.  I was cutting it short with the time, computer crash, my internet was down for a while...  so I'm sorry to say that it is the bare minimum that I sent.  I hope you like the cd though.
