I finally did it....all coils!:





Hooray!  This skein came out to be only 40 yards, But it weighs 9 onces!!  Hefty!

These are all made with scraps of crown molding that my boss was going to throw away.  I took the pieces not really knowing what I would do with them. 
These ended up being gifts to my mother for Xmas.  She loves country folk art stars, and she is obsessed with doing laundry (I know weird right?) 

I finally discovered crackle paint WHERE HAS IT BEEN ALL MY LIFE!!! OMG I LOVE IT!!  The hangers I made from stainless steel wire and beads.
the star plaques are "any-time-of-the-year-ornaments" and the laundry plaque is especially for her to hang next to the washing machine to laugh at every time she does laundry!

[I am sooooo glad I discovered the wonderful world of fiber!!!!!]

I made 4 of these little guys but unfortunately I was in such a rush to get them all sent out in time for xmas, I didnt take a group photo

His body is completely needle felted in pieces then NF'd together, his hat is black felt rolled up, and I crocheted his little scarf with embroidery thread!

I am sooooo glad I discovered the wonderful world of fiber!!!!!

I made these cards out of 2 pics of my BF's moms pets, Ollie the Pug and Tunie the Ram.
I folded up some nice cardstock, glued on the pics, then cut out the shapes of the little santa hats and glued them on too.
These make really easy personalized/last minute holiday cards.  What do ya think?

Here is my progression so far of yarns Ive spun up using a drop spindle:

In chronological order from left to right:

#1- Dorset, kool aid dyed (cherry and grape)
#2- Romney, kool aid dyed (berry blast)
#3- Dorset  predyed rovings
#4- Wool, flax, and silk predyed rovings
#5- Romney and mohair predyed rovings

The first two have a lot of over-spin in them, Im working on eliminating that in my technique with more practice

So far this is my favorite and the softest...Its going to be a xmas gift for my grandmother (166 yds)

Here's a bag I created recently....


I crocheted a large circle using some funky yarns, then folded it in half like a soft shell taco, I crocheted oval shaped side pieces so it had more depth to stash stuff inside.
The handles were crocheted on in the last round of the circle
