441  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re:How do I make this seed necklace? on: April 08, 2004 08:42:16 AM
You should pick up a bead reamer...they are usually found in bead stores.  I got mine for like $8 bucks (American) which has different sized bits along with it. Its cools b/c its a handtool so you really get down and dirty with each bead.  I think it makes each piece of jewerly you make more special. Cool
btw...I have a necklace JUST like that!  ~M

sweeta magreeta...you might want to try bead shops.  I have found whole hanks of snake vertebrate beads for sale in some.
Also, they usually have handcarved bone beads with varying hole size that you could check out and hand tools to drill into your own with  (aka...bead reamers)

If you make some jewelry could you post it? I'd love to see your creations

443  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re:Peekaboo Zipper Pillow (with fabric swatch insets) on: April 01, 2004 03:40:24 PM
Wow! Great Job!
This would look awesome on a shirt or even on a headband!
You could line up 2 or 3 of your zipper-fabric creations fold over the ends making a "tunnel" on each end then slip some elastic through both sides (tying a knot to connect) for a head band
If the zippers are plastic there shouldnt be too many hair-stuck-in-zipper incidents!

Has anyone else experienced their marble magnet images turning yellow a while after being made and up on the fridge?
I used Silicon sealear glue and thought it was great at first....
anyone have a similar event and do you have any sure-fire glue brands that wont yellow?
Thanks  Wink

446  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re:Favourite theme party(ies)? on: March 31, 2004 08:48:54 AM
Three words....."Pimp and Ho"
We had one of these a few summers ago and everyone had to dress up as a um...."working gals" or a pimp...it was a blast especially when the guys dressed up as the hookers!
We bought fake money from the dollar store and decorated everything with it, and passed it around the whole party!
