I'm not even sure! I started making the first one in the summer, it took a while to come up with the actual way to make it - trial and error... and then the actual construction of all of the layers themselves... and then the time it took to glue them all together (with contact cement, you have to let it dry for an hour before sticking it together...and i would put two layers of glue on to make it extra sturdy!)... and then after making the first one, I made a second one.  It took a very long time!  But totally worth it - it looks great in our room!  Smiley

Thanks everyone for looking!

Hi everyone! How's it going?

I haven't visited this thread in a long time and I definitely won't have the time to read the months worth of posts I have missed! All is going well for me and my etsy shop. I recently listed a brand new item, a giant 3D mario warp pipe from the nintendo games made out of perler beads, so you can visit my shop if you'd like to see it! Smiley

I am also having a huge sale on all 1" pinback buttons!  Check it out Smiley

I'm also always open to trades if any of you have an etsy shop and would like to trade!

Well...I'm off to watch some olympics!  Talk to you guys later!

Onyx - did you check out the knit store in scarborough and was it any good? What is the name of it? I work in scarborough and would love a new wool shop to check out. Thanks!

Here is my newest original crafty creation inspired by video games - a Nintendo Super Mario Bros. warp pipe keepsake box!  The warp pipe comes with a removable Piranha Plant, designed to look like the original 8-bit pixelated version for the original NES.

The keepsake box has a removable lid that has an inner layer so it fits snugly to the box.  It is 3D and is bigger (and heavier!) than it looks!  With the Piranha plant attached, it is 11" tall, and 19 1/2" around at its widest point.

I built it by stacking layer upon layer of ironed Perler Beads and glued them all together.  The inside is hollow so you can keep whatever you'd like inside of it!

Thanks for looking! Smiley

Hi all!   Cheesy

I have recently re-designed my craft room!  I posted pics in the summer of my craft room, but I was able to rearrange some things and added a new desk to accommodate the new sewing machine that my fiance got me for Christmas Smiley  At this time I am unable to paint the walls or hang anything from the walls (we live with my fiance's dad for the time being and I am fortunate enough to have my own craft space!), hence the bright yellow paint with tacky curtains that I didn't pick out.  However, I have a really great space to work in that I'm lovin'!

Here are the photos!  I have two desks with one office chair in between so I am able to roll back and forth between work spaces.  One desk has a laptop on it where I am able to use the computer and watch TV.  The one table that has the sewing machine has most of my craft supplies - paper goods, needlecraft, ribbons, stamps, scrapbooking stuff, button maker, etc.  Along one wall, I have two Ikea shelving units that have the big plastic pullout storage containers that are home to my wool and fabric collection.  On those shelves, I also keep my supplies of Perler Beads.

Hope you enjoy looking at the photos! Smiley  Thanks for looking!
