Happy New Year Craftsters. I have some great little projects for using up those tiny scraps of fabric left over from your bag making projects. Check out these free instructions on how to make a mini coin purse: http://www.tallpoppycraft.com/catalog/images/craftster_ free_pattern_coin_purse_pf2.pdf

2  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / AUSTRALIA / Is everyone happy with their current bead suppliers? on: April 08, 2006 11:11:09 PM
What could be better: Customer service, price, location, uniqueness of the beads. What sort of beads would you like to get your hands on? Pearls, lampwork beads, any other unique beads that you'd love to get in Australia?
3  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / AUSTRALIA / Hippest suburb in Sydney? on: April 08, 2006 09:59:45 PM
I like Broadway, Newtown and Glebe.

Which suburbs do you like to shop in Sydney?
4  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / AUSTRALIA / Wow! Is that "our" Laura on the home page of ebay.com.au??!! on: April 22, 2005 07:19:11 AM
Congrats Laura! Great pic too - did they come round to take it or did you send it to them? Good to see some handmade items getting front possie!
5  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Oat, honey + goat milk soap with oatmeal + milk scent on: March 18, 2005 09:44:57 PM
Just cleaning off my hard drive and came across the pics I took of my soap making experience back in October. I haven't yet used the soap and they still smell as good as the day I made them, but I think the oatmeal + milk scent has discolored the creamy white goat milk soap a little over the months.

Clockwise from top left: 2 honey + oat blocks stick out of the soap, creating a kind of massage bar; 2 honey + oat blocks sitting in the soap; 2 oat + honey rectangles sitting in the soap; oat + honey shavings sit inside the soap.

6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Reasonable costs for bookkeepers on: November 01, 2004 06:16:54 PM
Hi everyone,

Just thought I would do a general "audit" of what people think about using bookkeepers? Worth the money? Saves time?

Any comments would be appreciated.
7  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Looking for a reasonably priced merchant account on: October 28, 2004 04:27:53 PM
I'd like to get a merchant account so that I can start taking orders over the phone and via fax. I'm wondering if anyone would like to share who they have their merchant account with and what they think of it? Good value for money and worth the investment? Thanks in advance for any information anyone would like to provide.
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / What is this pattern trying to tell me?! on: October 15, 2004 07:51:34 AM
I'm really confused about what has to happen here. Every time I try and think about it my head goes into a spin.

I'm up to number 3 on the pattern. Would I need to sew around the edge of all of the thicknesses or just around 2 thicknesses separately?

Below is the pattern (I guess it would help me if it was in English) and below the pattern is a photo of what the bag looks like so far. I started pinning all thicknesses together on the right hand side but I'm just not sure.

Any help would be appreciated!

10  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / AUSTRALIA / Any tips for crafting shops to visit in Tasmania? on: August 10, 2004 11:51:56 PM
Hi there,

I'm off to Tasmania for 5 days on Sunday (we're staying in the Launceston area) - just wondering if any Tassies out there might be able to recommend any crafty shops / markets to go to in Tassie?

Any recommendations would be very helpful!
