We have the same marigold color in our living room/den combo (it was supposed to be a dining room too but we have a big kitchen and don't "dine" so we didn't need it)-- Everyone thinks it is weird, but we love it! Happy to not be alone! Smiley

Those are beautiful! I have absolutely no idea what ANY of those things are. They sound like scary monster names. But your designs and color choices are lovely!

Hey- Do a search of this board for transfer pens. A lot of people have suggested Sulky's pens, which I personally use and love. This topic has come up quite a few times before because so many people want to use their patterns after they run out. Smiley

These work really well if you get the long vintage coat zippers-- That way you can put the zipper all the way up the back and it will unzip completely on command.

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Would you like fries with that? on: October 22, 2005 07:01:04 PM
That's a great idea. I may put the Pepsi and Hamburger on at the same time and see what that looks like... Might be too busy, but the Pepsi would dangle lower so it may not interfere. Smiley Will post results.

The pepsi and toothpaste came from this hobby store in Durham, NC that I'm sure is closed by now... The plastic charms came from Archie McPhee. It's all stuff intended for jewelry making. I think the little plastic toothpastes were sold as pendants... ?? Random 70s fad, I guess?

I love these adorable plastic food charms... Donuts, ice cream, chinese take out, and hamburger joint goodies. This was a very quick project to make a pair of earrings and a necklace! The food is all new stuff, but the toothpaste tubes and pepsi are "vintage" (70s or 80s anyway- not usually my idea of vintage, but they are older than new anyway!)- I bought the toothpaste when I was in 7th grade and have been hoarding it ever since trying to decide what to do with it... Now I teach 7th grade and finally made earrings. Haha.

Now a question-- Should I make a "set" with the two fries earrings and the hamburger necklace, or one fry, the pepsi, and the hamburger? I only have one pepsi, so I can't have a Pepsi and fry on each earring...  Sad
