1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Notecard/Stationary Swap on: October 08, 2009 07:45:19 PM
I have noticed that in my swap adventures, I have come across many notecards and stationary items.  How about a swap where we make each other 10 stationary items and get a pen pal in return to send them to?  Whos interested?
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Burgandy wallet on: June 05, 2009 08:47:39 AM
I made one of these wallets recently, and it didn't turn out as well as I would have liked.  But someone asked me if I could make one for her, so I tried again.  This one turned out much better!  Hope you like it.

(and I learned how to make it here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=237259.0)

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / zipper question on: April 30, 2009 05:33:01 PM
okay so i have been making zipper pouches, and I know how to install a zip.   I have done it many, many times.  My problem is that I have tons of white zips that are waaay long.  So I just cut them down, and save the tabs by the zip head.  This makes my zip end kinda curved on the finished product (the end that is not by the head)  How can I get it to lay flat?   Should I keep the end tabs and cut the front end of the zipper instead?
6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / star swap on: April 29, 2009 01:37:20 PM
anyone up for another round of the star swap?  I would be willing to organize!
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Baby room for DD! on: March 20, 2009 03:31:23 PM
I had a baby on February 28th!  She is amazing and motherhood is all it's cracked up to be, and we had so much fun decorating her room!  Grin
We didn't want to overdo it on the pink like so many people do, so we decided to break it up some instead of doing the whole room pink.  Im not one for long winded introductions, so onto the photos!

Her closet.

Dresser area

Changing table/nursing area (got the changing table for freeeeeee!!!!)

Close up of border

Her crib (she wont be using it until we get a bumper pad set)  Her name on the wall!  Smiley  O!!  and the crib was only $50!!!

The rug (we chose this rug because we are going to do pink/white gingham curtains and bumper set)

And I know you're all dying to see these! (maybe I'm just dying to show you!)

Baby Kierstan complete with the full head of hair that caused 9 months of heartburn

And the silly hat pix.  (daddy loves that hat!)

And I would like to say that we spent very little on the walls decorating.  We spent about 25 on paint, and then 15 dollars total for all of the wall decorations.  I got wall stickers and the border from the dollar tree!   Grin  And just fyi, when the paste on the border sucks, cuz it will.... mod podge is your best friend!

Also, the crib picture is the truest to color, my camera sucks apparently.

Comments and criticism appreciated  Grin

I just made this quilt for Mcbenno for the Make a friend swap round two.  She loves rainbow and there are several quilts on her wist, so this is what I came up with!  I think it is about 30X36 inches, not positive though because I was too excited and didn't measure before I shipped it off!    Grin  Grin
