1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Wire Crochet Jewelry on: August 12, 2006 06:10:21 AM
I'm not sure whether this fits better here in Crochet or over in Jewelry. Sixes and half dozens, and ones and others, and all that rot, I guess.

This one is my first wire crochet attempt. Yet more 28g wire (though silver this time) and freshwater pearls, Czech glass and botswana agate.

The next is made with 28g goldfill wire for the crochet work, 18g wire for the clasp, 20g for the sizing chain. There's a big mix of beads in this one: Swarovskis, peridot, aventurine, garnet, amethyst, rhodonite, mother of pearl, iolite, citrine, carnelian, yellow jasper, blue quartz...

Again with the 28g wire, but this time I used citrine and rose quartz beads and botswana agate briolettes.

Thanks for looking!  Cheesy
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Delurking + chainmaille, beadwork (img heavy) on: February 07, 2006 01:11:01 PM
Hey there -- I'm new. Well, technically. I've been lurking a lot, and thought maybe I should delurk (what a novel idea!) and post some pretty pictures.

But since I don't have any pretty pictures of my stuff, you guys will have to settle for these:

Chainmaille choker made with onyx beads, 4mm-ish jump rings, and a tourmalinated quartz briolette.

This was a slapdash attempt to use up extra beads before allowing myself to buy more. There's a mix of tiger's eye, mother of pearl, sunstone, garnet, swarovski crystals, several varieties of jasper, carnelian, Bali silver, pewter charms and lots of other stuff I'm sure I'm forgetting in here.

Chainmaille bracelet and Xmas gift for my mother in law. Sterling silver with Byzantine and flower chain weaves, swarovski crystal, floral lampwork, and a piano charm (she taught my daughter to play piano a little bit).

18g, 20g, and 26g gold-filled wire sculpted into a pseudo-Celtic motif with garnet-colored Czech glass.

Necklace with black butterfly. Butterfly is made with 3 and 4mm swarovski crystals, seed beads, and Czech glass.

Anyway, I hope I didn't bog y'all down with too much junk. Enjoy ...or something. Wink
