1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My version of the Olympic opening ceremony US Hat on: February 19, 2010 05:07:20 AM
With the help of a couple free Ravelry patterns (Olympic Reindeer Hat and the fornicating deer chart) I was able to do make my DH a hat.  Quick work but he loves it!

Considering that the "official" hats are going for over $300 on Ebay.........

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knitty - Tangerine Twist question on: June 13, 2007 04:36:11 AM
Fell in love with this pattern and started swatching...  Problem is that the shaping is done by changing needle size.  The directions have the needles increasing in size where I would assume they would do the opposite.  Am I just reading the pattern wrong?

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Coyote Guarding the Henhouse on: January 24, 2006 10:08:00 AM
Did I say I was into mosaic big time?  Shocked

I ran into a guy selling used mannequins at the flea market.  I bought one.  Turned it into a lamp/winerack/bookcase.  The bookcase part was unplanned but I screwed up cutting the molding for the bottle holder part of the winerack.  Ended up with only one shelf for wine.  But that's okay, I only use wine in cooking anyway.

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Mosaic Mailbox on: January 23, 2006 04:51:04 AM
Hi.  Just wanted to share my mosaic mailbox.  DH had brought home a load of cinderblocks that were free and they sat around the yard for a while.  Seeing that he was going to do nothing with them I built a structure to protect the mailbox from the inevitable baseball bat then mosiced the whole thing.  The first couple of weeks it was up it stopped traffic.  We'd be sitting at the kitchen table and watch the people stop to look at it.  Made me feel great.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Intro and most recent FO on: January 22, 2006 06:41:18 AM
Hi, been lurking for awhile and decided to take the plunge.  I'm big-time into knitting, crochet, and mosaics among other things.  Love all the info that can be found on craftster and can't wait to get started on many of the things here that inspire me.

Here is my latest knit project.  A hoodie for my newest nephew Matthew.  I'm not too sure of the color, perhaps purple is a bit feminine but - oh well.

Comments welcome.
