1  Re: Adults Only Swap Gallery [Mature Audience Only!] in The Swap Gallery by Listener15 on: October 28, 2006 08:40:54 PM
Wow, everyone has gotten some GREAT stuff! Talk about creative bunch.  Okay, so I received from Teapotdnky!  Here we go.

First:
A tshirt that rocks! I can't wait to wear it....so wearing this to Pride in June!

Second:
Now I got somewhere to hide my toys from snooping parents hehe.  I shot it this way so you can see where the toys go *grin* Isn't that just freaking awesome!

Third:
This was in one othe bears, Wipe Sin Away! LOL I'm gonna need a whole hell of a lot of these...

Fourth:
This was in the other bear, stitch markers! For some reason I don't think I can take these to the local Senior Center when I want to get help on my crocheting heh. Isn't Teapot a GREAT talent! I'm so gonna con her...erm, I mean ask her, if she'll do a personal swap to get some more.

Fifth:
Now this...this is very special.  Just looking at it it looks like a regular journal, but inside she decorated random pages with pics she found and little words like "love" and "trust" and "honesty" (those I'll link)  She had asked me for some private pictures I had taken of my girlfriend when she was sleeping (some of them she was only kinda sleeping, more like closed eyes and smirking at me taking pics, these I wont link lol) and since I trusted her I sent them along, she included those too and it nearly made me cry.  She did a fantastic job, I honestly can't say how much I love this journal.  She seemed to really catch DD and I, her word selection and which pics she used, it is like she really really knew us.  I love it.

Teapot, you did an amazing job, I could not have asked for a better swap partner.  Hope you like what I have made you (yes, I finally finished yay!)

Okay, I had to break down and pay for my flickr account cause I had used up all of my uploading capacity this month already.  Dang swap heh.  So here we go, what I got from the amazing, wonderful, kiss ass patty_o_furniture!

First: A bag made from hankerchiefs to which she added some fabric from her stash.

Second: A matching keychain!  Hehe! She even put Listy on there which totally rocks since so many people in RL call me Listy...even my girlfriend and her mom lol

Third: Bottle that has Eye Of Newt written on it with little eyes all over. I love this! I seriously do.  I had the biggest laugh when I saw this.

Fourth: A woodburned Karma sign.  I LOVE THIS!!  I saw this shirt that had this design on it and immediatly wisted it.  She must have seen it on my wists and put it on a wooden sign there.  Talk about an AMAZING job too! I love it!

My swap angel rocks! I love it! Thank you soooooo much. Anyone who you angel for or get in a swap is damn lucky.

Wow! How did I miss everything?  That tape purse with the pompom handle is just too cool and that dino purse? Brilliant!  And that kitty piggy bank DEFINATLY looks a lot better all decoupaged.

I think my partner fell off the face of the earth so I'm gonna post pics I (luckly) took of what I sent.  There are two things I didn't take pics of but that was a packet of like 100 pages of different sized origami paper and this "craft tote" (which I didn't decorate) that looked pretty cool.

First Thing
My partner had mentioned that she wanted to move out within a year. I remembered that when my girlfriend moved out of her parents house had a dickens of a time finding salt and pepper shakers that didn't cost an arm and a leg...so I made this as a kind of pre-pre-pre appartment warming gift.
Front:

One Of The Two Sides:

The Back:

Second Thing
I saw this REALLY boring sword.  My partner said that she's always putting stuff on her walls cause her walls are pink and she hates it.  So I did this with the sword and sheath (I included two multi-teired door hangers to hang the sword and sheath from on her door).  This project took me a while to do cause I had to wait for things to dry all the time.  It was so hard to part with it after all that work  Cheesy

The Sheath:

Third Thing:
So I had a really good find at the dollar store and saw this wooden box. I love woodburning and staining boxes so I had all that stuff for it (the box was orginally a very light balsawood type thing).  The only thing is that I ran out of time to line it so it's just plain inside.  My partner said she liked Egyptian themed stuff soooooo

So I lucked out as a swap angel and Sarcastra sent me what she was supposed to send her original partner.  So here's what I got!

Here's little Pawlette fresh from her travels.  Sarcastra said that she came with a little dressed but Pawlette likes going au natural (which is hillarious cause my significant other is a nudist and it's kinda rubbed off on me, she'll fit in perfectly!)

Here's Pawlette with her little cowboy hat with her scrapbook of her adventures (much better than the one I made...I am so not a scrapbooker, sorry Sarcastra!), a candle, postcards (I love postcards!), a CD (haven't listened to it yet), and orange fuzzy dice.

here's the stuff that she came with in her personal travel box.  A little teacup, a little craft basket, the red thing is that dress she came with, and under her folded up is the little quilt that was made for her.

Here's the outside of her personal traveling box with a Wyoming sticker on it.  Hopefully soon it will be covered with stickers of the places she's been!

Here's the quilt all laid out, on the right are two special soaps (the red one is of the shape of a covered wagon way cool!), in front is a little metal bit of a rabbit that says Wyoming on the bottom, a smashed penny (which is so cool since I collect smashed pennies), a little pin that says Wyoming, and to the left is the teacup and craft basket again, and that train is a pencil sharpener.

Thank you so much Sarcastra.  Pawlette is such a little cutie and you certainly are an awesome scrapbooker!

5  Re: Sushi Swap Round 2 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by Listener15 on: October 06, 2006 09:08:02 PM
I got my swap package today from kitkabbit! Talk about nice too....

The one on the right is a super soft sushi plushie (and shush teapot, I know you are itching to make some bad jokes lol) and on the left is a tissue box cover...hmmm, what is under that thing?

Sushi candy!!  The FUNNIEST thing is that I was this close *puts thumb and pointer finger really close together* to making the same thing for her but I sent late as it was and wanted to get it out.

Close up of the candy...Mmmm, it is really good. Yum!

Thank you so much kitkabbit! *munch munch* I love everything *munch much* The plushie and tissue box cover just rock my socks *munch munch* The candy rocks too  Grin *munch*

Here we go! This is what my girlfriend and I got from our partners (caffeinatedair).  Now the sucky thing is that right now my girlfriend and I are on other sides on the country so right now the stuff is at her place.

Group shot!

The way cool beanie...what yarn did you use?

The Pouch

The ever popular Craftster question...what does the lining look like? Hehe, rainbow!

And what's the best way to round off a swap? With cookies of course (my poor girlfriend was having a bad day, so these cookies came just in time)

May decided that she needed to help eat the cookies

I couldn't resist and talked my girlfriend into letting me post this pic  Grin

Thank you so much to our partners, everything you send it just rocks!

7  Re: Tote Bag Swap Gallery May June 2006 in The Swap Gallery by Listener15 on: July 26, 2006 06:10:56 PM
Oh man Listy you are making me sweat it!!  I forgot to take pics before I sent your angel package.  Now I am second guessing the quality of the bag.   Undecided

Ooops! I dont' know why but I have been bad about posting pics lately. And dude, the bag rocks my socks.  I have just been having to use the library computer the past week because my brother deemed me unfit to use his comp *rolls eyes* brothers.*finds camera and un-stuffs new bag and repins the note on the bag*  okay ladies and gents, I have sold my soul to satan (a.k.a. my little brother) to let me use the comp. And now, the wonderfulness that is the bag that jaybirdescrafty made me!  I really do like it.  Showed it off at work *sticks tongue out at co-workers* They are jealous...even the kids think its cool!  Grin

So here is the font of the bag:

Your hubby's jeans went to a good cause hehe!

Here is the back of the bag:

Not trying to be mean or anything but that song "I Like Big Butts" keeps popping into my head. I am just loving the back pockets on this *grin*

The inside:

See the pockets on the sides?

The lining:

Cause I know ever Crafster wants to know what the lining looks like  Cheesy but dude, how did you chose this? I am in love with this fabric...where did you get it?

The goodies:

Here's the stuff in the bag...which now lives in other places hehe

The crochet hooks:

I am still wondering how the heck did jaybirdiscrafty know that I was gonna buy more hooks.  I am also going from one place to another so I wanted some hooks that I could carry with me and if I lost one, no big, cause I would have my set at home. And they're bright! And shiney! And colourful! *stares and gets no crocheting done at all*  .....ahem, yes, they now live in the hook roll I got from the FOC2 swap from hertrigger.

The bracelets:

Aren't these beads beautiful! I have already worn the blue one.

The dishcloths:

Dishcloths! I have made sooooo many of these but haven't kept a one! Now I have three! They are mine! All mine! Bwahahahaha! Oh, jaybirdiscrafty, what patterns did you use for these? My mom was very impressed with the star one...

The pin:

Ack! I don't know why I couldn't get a clear pic of the pin...but you get the point.  My boss laughed at me when he saw the pin. Hehe.  Hey just because I have my own coffee, coffee filters, and coffee maker at work doesn't mean I'm THAT addicted...much...hehe

That's everything! *bows at jaybirdiscrafty feets* you are wonderful! you are wonderful! Thank you so much! thank you so much! *snaches goodies and runs away*

Yay! Pics! ...you don't want to know what it took to get these...

First Send Out:

The Whole Package

Stitch Markers

I'm still in love with these beads...

Bookmarks

I had to take these out of the two books I'm reading (I usually read about 4 at a time heh) and back they now go...wonderfully made and beautiful.

Second Send Out:

The Whole Package:

Love/Hate Shirt:

As my poor FOC knows by now, I am a spaz and have bad lighting...the shirt is blue, not black *smacks self*  But hehe! I am starting a collection of these shirts (seriously, after my first one I started planning what colour shirts and paint I could make my own out of...)

Lion:

Fluffy the Lion lives on my dashboard and I talk to him (he doesn't have a very good sense of direction, but he is company).  My FOC seriously needs to tell me how she made him....or let me swap for more with her  Grin

Trinket Box:

I told you this is dang cute material.

Inside The Trinket Box:

I love the pokadot linning...And yes, that is Fluffly the Lion, he likes the box he traveled in to get here...

Third Send Out:

The Whole Package:

The Pen/Pencile Holder:

Can you see the little stitched (I can't come close to spelling the other word for it) sushi? And that little red button is just a wonderful touch!  Great job on the zipper FOC!

Inside The Holder:

What every Craftster wants to see. Hehe...talk about wonderful fabric. FOC, where did you find this?

Pendant:

Okay, so I had missed this the first time round because it was tucked waaaaaay in the top corner of the pencil holder and only got loose when I accidently dropped it on the floor.  I LOVE it! So wearing this to work tomorrow and the first resturant I go to  Grin

Again, FOC I bow down to you. I love everything and have already threatened my family about touching anything  Roll Eyes
