5601  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: 24 Hour Swap: Sign Ups CLOSED, Send August 7th 5:00pm on: August 06, 2006 02:38:24 PM
Shoot, I forgot about this (I am actually away from home today, just borrowing someones computer) and so I missed the deadline.  Guess I will have to see if there is a round 2 and pay better attention.

I can not thank Homerof2 enough for this - it is really just stunning.

Craftydeb, I love how you hung that quilt - much better than I suggested!  I never thought of cafe rods but will the next time I want to hang a wall quilt  Grin

I hope someone knows what to do with the package they made off with!

Me too and I don't even know what was in the package.  I've never wanted to ask because I was afraid then I would be even more sad about it  Cry

They don't when you are the recipient of one  Grin

Great choices this month (sometimes simple is good) - and you've made it simple for me to decide which to make.  I've made the Brasstown Star Block before so I'm going to make the Annie's Choice block  Grin

I love things made for dollhouses!!!!  Do you have one???  A dollhouse I mean.

No, I don't have a doll house but, the reason I have the lantern is because I collect miniature kitchen utensils and my parents, in their excitement to get me miniatures, lost sight of the fact I only collect kitchen utensils and they started to buy me any miniature they could find - thus, I now have a collection of other miniatures even though I don't want to collect them  Smiley

I can't figure out why you almost chickened out!!!

Because it seemed rather plain compared to some other entries.

Wow, after seeing all the other entries, I almost chickened out to enter mine but decided to go ahead anyway.  This is my first challenge.

I don't have any action shots of the 'making' process so decided to show the items I used in the making instead.  I crocheted this with a size 1 steel crochet hook and used 3 strands of regular sewing thread (the picture has been enlarged so the items show up)

Now, the GOLDEN DOILY (it has a 1 3/4" diameter)

and action shots:

                      with a Canadian quarter:

and with a lantern designed for a doll house

From one crocheter to another, let me say FANTASTIC job!

I too used sewing thread for my challenge entry but my item is no where near that small.

Wow, that looks great!  I love those kind of mazes and think this one ranks right up with the best of them  Grin
