I am one of those people who has been waiting impatiently, oops, I meant patiently  Grin for package #1 to arrive and today I picked up the mail, saw there was a package for me, got it, got home really fast to open it only to discover it said package #2 - I have no idea what happened to package #1.

Anyway, in this wonderful package was a pattern book for making quilted tops and some jar tags:

AND,

drum roll, pleeeeeeeease

I would like to introduce to you BERNICE:

The most wonderful bear!!!  I've been wanting a cuddly bear for awhile and now I have one.  I've also been tempted to make one so I was checking this little gal out to see how she was put together and, let me say, the sewing on this is fantastic!!  She now has a place of honor on the cedar chest in my bedroom and I will be sure to show her off when friends come to visit.

THANKS, THANKS secret FOC for this wonderful package and I promise to give Bernice a good home like you requested! and I really hope the first package isn't lost.

That's looks wonderful!

Could you explain the sewing technique again - sorry, but it sounds like a good idea of sewing the back and front at the same time but I'm just not understanding how it's done and would love to understand and try it.

This whole discussion on Kinder Eggs (or Kinder Surprises as they are called in my part of the world) has me surprised.  I received one in a swap from England and figured that if they were here in Canada and in England, then they had to be everywhere but it seems like the US doesn't have them.  Hmmm.....interesting!

how did she tye them?

She used a needle and yarn and just sewed from the front to the back and then through to the front again and tied it in a double knot.
