a 2007 calendar/magnet with the state of alberta (her state)

I don't think you forgot anything veludo - I just have to make a small correction to what you wrote.  Alberta is my province, we don't have states in Canada  Grin

Now that's a 'shroom that even my 'shroom 'hating' family would love.  The hedgehog just makes it tons better!  Great job!

I love the squares everyone has made, not sure mine will be as good though as I haven't been crocheting for very long.

It doesn't matter how long you have been crocheting - that's why I picked an easy and experienced square - just do what you think you can.
5434  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Baby Quilt (or "Yellow, Blue and Green All Over") on: October 10, 2006 06:09:31 PM
Beautiful quilt - I love the colors and the tag is a wonderful addition.

Here is a quilt I made for my uncle who's having his first kid. (He's not that much older then me, but Grandmother had 14 kids)

I know all about that - my MIL is the youngest of 18 children and has nieces and nephews older than her by many years!

So, now Homerof2 is looking for the fastest crafter prize.  Wink

Now I'm feeling picked on  Embarrassed

(NOT)

I love working on things the minute I get my partners name and find that these swaps with long mailing out times are hard.  I purposely made myself not even start crafting for a week so that I wouldn't get done too early.  Just my nature!

about how much wool does it take to make a square?

Yikes, that's a hard question to answer because it depends on how 'intense' the design is on a square.

I took a look around the internet to see if I could find out how much yarn an average granny square takes and from what I could find, I'd say about 2 ounces of worsted weight per square.

And by all means, if you're not looking for a prize you are crazy!

Wouldn't be the first time someone has called me crazy  Shocked

What I was trying to say here:

I wasn't mentioning that because I was looking for a prize

was that I wasn't trying to change the prize categories, just wondering if others had used an item from the list on more than one item.

BTW!  I am finished making my items and they are all boxed and ready to send - I'm just waiting a few days so I don't look too eager!

I am following the same example on prizes as the first round so it's greatest number of items in one thing and greatest number of items per package.

I wasn't mentioning that because I was looking for a prize - I just wondered if anyone else used an item on multiple things or not  Grin

I put my swap items in the mail two weeks ago and still haven't heard anything!  I'm getting a little worried.

I hear ya and the minute it arrives I'll let you know.  But, don't worry, 2 weeks can be 'normal' some times.

However, I can sympathize as I sent an item 15 days ago and it still hasn't arrived at it's destination either.

Earlier we were talking about the most things from the list used on one item - how about using one thing from the list on lots of items.  So far, I've used one of the things on 5 different items (but I can't tell you what  Grin )
