I started working on this swap today - headed to the local craft store and found some wonderful items.  But, I came across one item that I have no idea what it is - can anyone tell me:

27) Kewpie doll

craftydeb, is it possible that someone sent you something 'just because' and you aren't supposed to know who it was from?

Did it have a return address or just a post mark?

I'm working on one right now and I wouldn't call it easy - more like medium and time consuming!

I also wanted to add that kitty1256 has been a great help to me, answering all my questions!

I claim ChloeisCrazy for:

- a large sized amigurumi

This is my 3rd claim (1 has been received)

I keep adding items in hopes that someone will see something they want to make and send me :-)

I'm in Alberta, Canada.

Sewing

A tablecloth (70" x 50") with a snowflake, sunflower or leaf themed fabric.

I'd love a plush teddy bear - around 12" would be great!

A butcher style apron (adult large) with no pockets (see my likes below for fabric ideas.)

A knitting apron like this:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/msg971894 but with different fabric.

A crochet hook roll in a bright flower pattern.

Carrier for a 9x13 pan, with handles

Quilting

12” squares for a craftster quilt - I like pretty rather than creepy - any colors or patterns are fine but if you need ideas, check out this website:  http://www.quilterscache.com/BlocksbySizeC.html

Cross Stitch

A picture featuring a snowman or sunflowers.

Other

I like watches that have 'fun' designs on the face or in the band.

Something from your country (preferrably not Canada or the US.)

If you want to throw in an extra with any of the above wishes, I'm looking for pens with cool, wacky designs on them.  The more outlandish they are, the less likely someone is to steal them when I work!

I have themes in my house each season so I like things made with sunflowers, tulips, scarecrows, snowmen or snowflakes.  I also like dark green and dark blue.

I can't believe they got to you so fast!

I know how you feel craftydeb - I mailed to ooak_diva on Wednesday from the west coast of Canada (where I was on holidays) and she got the package today (Monday) on the east coast of the US.  Packages never travel that fast when I send them from home  Grin

Oh my goodness!!!!!!  I just got home from holidays and have been catching up on Craftster and particularily this swap.  Looking at that list, I don't even know where to start.  Guess I better print it out, go through my stash and see what fits and then get my butt in gear and figure out what to do.    Grin

Great job on this quilt - I love all the colors!

Another good way to choose colors is to pick a main fabric  with a colorway that you like and pick out fabrics colors from this central fabric.

Great suggestion!  I made a wall quite a few years ago that was 5 main squares and then a border.  The pattern was from a magazine and they gave you a pattern per issue.  It wasn't until the last issue when you were supposed to put the whole thing together that they gave a simlar suggestion - pick the border fabric (which is quite wide) first and then match the other fabric to it.  Kind of late when the rest of the quilt was already done.  So, I took my squares to the local quilt store and the fantastic owner was able to find a border that matched the colors I had used perfectly.  No one would know it was purchased later!
