5261  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Ongoing Offer What You Have (Crafts/Supplies) Swap - Dec. 24-Jan. 24 on: December 31, 2006 04:22:59 PM
I'd like to claim from Atsuko and I would like the 1 yard red with stars material.

Here is what I have to offer right now:

Gold doily (made by me) and framed in a metal ring - great for hanging on the wall!

5 partial balls of cotton yarn - some balls are almost complete and some are less than 1/2

Blue t-shirt material (approximate size is 52" long x 60" wide)

I'm not totally sure what this material is but I'm guessing a cotton blend - it has a stretch in it - the approximate measurement is 3 yards long and 40" wide.

I will make 3 crochet squares - you pick the color and size, I will pick the pattern.  These pictures are all of 12" squares and are just so you can see what I can make:

5262  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 12" Crochet Square of the Month Craftalong - JANUARY on: December 31, 2006 03:55:31 PM
Happy New Year to you all!

Here are the squares I picked for January - I made both of them last week to check the pattern and see that all was okay.  There are a few typos in the experienced square but since they are easy to figure out, I didn't think I needed to fix them for you.  In the easy square, there is a large mistake so after I post the link, I will tell you the correction.  I used the recommended hook (size H, 5.0) and the experienced square worked out fine but I had to make the final round of the easy square in double crochet rather than single crochet to make it large enough.

This month's squares are called January Square and New Year's Eve  Grin

Easy

Round 6 of the easy square should read:  Ch 4, sk last dc (*2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in next ch 2 corner, ch 1, sk 1 dc, dc in next dc, ch 1, sk ch 1 sp, dc in next dc, <ch1, sk 1 dc, dc in next ch 1 sp> 4 times, ch 1, sk 1 dc, dc in next dc, ch 1, sk ch 1 sp,* dc in next dc, ch 1, sk last dc) 3 times, rep from * to * once more, join in 3rd ch of beg ch 4.  Finish off main color.

Experienced

Have fun with these!

I'm just wondering if we are going to get to see pictures of the prizes - I assume they have been received by now  Grin

Has anyone started joining their squares ? I would love to see some afghans taking shape.

I'm not planning to join mine until we are all finished for the year - that way I can decide if I want to arrange them by the month they were made or by colors.

Geez, how'd I miss this? What a fun idea! Thinking I need to catch up and play along.

Jump in - there's not that many to do to catch up!

Congratulations Elemental on catching up!  They look great.

I have January's squares all picked out and I have one finished and the other on the go (I really like to make them before I recommend them to you all.)  I'm excited about these ones as they are both looking great  Grin

I've just added to my list in hopes of unstalling this round!

I claim thegwenanobi for:

postcards/keychains/touristy stuff from your place of residence

This is my 3rd claim - one sent.

I'm in Alberta, Canada.

This is my list in order of preference (but, of course, you are free to pick anything):

1)  Tablecloth (50" x 70") made with sunflower, leaves, snowflake or spring flower material.

2)  I'm looking for specific Laurel Burch fabric - I'd love a FQ minimum of her Hearts and Hummingbirds and anything from her Jungle Song collection.

3)  1/2 apron for when I'm crafting (adult large) and I'd like it with snowmen, snowflake or sunflower material - with or without pockets.

4) Quilted pillow cover for a 16" pillow (I'll provide the pillow) in dark blues and gold.

5)  I'd love a handmade plush teddy bear - around 12" would be great! (handmade=nothing store bought)

6)  Amigurumi elephant or penguin (think, smaller is better)

7)  My hubby collects hot sauce (3-5 oz bottles) and I'd like to add more to his collection - ones with unusual pictures on the labels, shapes or names would be great.

8 )  Beading supplies - anything but seed beads as I have enough of those but particularily medium and large unusual shaped beads (no plastic please) in any color.  Beading thread and gold findings. Thanks la_chrystelle

9)  Crochet hook roll with snowman, snowflake or sunflower material (or other bright colored material)

10)  Something from your country (non-North American, please)

11)  A fabric carrier (the kind with handles) for a 9x13 or 9" round cake pan.

as the Magic Yarn Ball that I also sent expedited airmail took over 2 weeks.  Tongue (I don't get it... shouldn't expedited airmail.... er, expedite things?)

That's what you would expect by the name but I don't think the PO knows how to do anything fast!
