Yesterday I received 2 wonderful and beautiful tea towels from Tanza.

It's hard to see in the picture but the red stitching is actually chili peppers - snowflakes and chili peppers, what perfect things for me  Grin

atelier07020 - that ornament is fantastic!  Did you use a pattern or make it up yourself?

5258  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 17 - December on: December 11, 2006 05:48:22 PM
I claim Dulcinea for:

cross stitch supplies - almost any kind of supplies, but especially linen for stitching, different colors floss, anything fairies (tinkerbell type, the kind with wings) or anything mickey mouse
almost anything mickey mouse (but not minnie mouse or other characters, please)

This is my first claim this round.

I'm in Alberta, Canada.

This is my list in order of preference (but, of course, you are free to pick anything):

1)  Tablecloth (50" x 70") made with sunflower, leaves, snowflake or spring flower material.

2)  I'm looking for specific Laurel Burch fabric - I'd love a FQ minimum of her Hearts and Hummingbirds and anything from her Jungle Song collection.

3)  1/2 apron for when I'm crafting (adult large) and I'd like it with snowmen, snowflake or sunflower material - with or without pockets.

4) Quilted pillow cover for a 16" pillow (I'll provide the pillow) in dark blues and gold.

5)  I'd love a handmade plush teddy bear - around 12" would be great! (handmade=nothing store bought)

6)  Amigurumi pig, elephant or penguin (think, smaller is better)

7 )  Crochet hook roll made with snowmen, sunflower, tulip or scarecrow material.

8 ) Beading supplies - anything but seed beads as I have enough of those but particularily medium and large unusual shaped beads (no plastic please) in any color.  Beading thread and gold findings.

9)  Fabric carrier for a 9x13 pan or for a 9" round pan.

homerof2, those glass balls are beautiful!  what kind of paint did you use?

I used Delta Ceramcoat, which is an acrylic paint - I'm sure any acrylic paint would work fine!

I have been wondering what this craftalong was all about so I finally took the time to read all the pages and look at all the pictures.  Wow, there are some fantastic trees!  I have to say that one of my favorite is retroeva's small kitchen tree and that's because I collect miniature kitchen utensils and that would look perfect in my house (where did you get all those kitchen ornaments?)

Here is our tree - we call him Charlie Brown - he is 22 years old and was purchased the first year my hubby and I were married.  While he doesn't look too bad with decorations and lights, he looks very pathetic when standing 'undecorated' and reminds me of the tree in Charlie Brown's Christmas - thus his name!

I crocheted the tree skirt and 99.5% of the decorations are hand made by either myself or I have received them through swaps.

Here are 2 of my favorites:

These are both glass balls that I dribbled paint into and then spent time twisting them to cover the inside and then turned them over to let the excess paint drain out.

Sitting deep inside the branches is this little hat:
