4961  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: One Tiny Thing 12 - signups closed, mail by May 4 on: May 03, 2007 07:34:26 AM
Here's the one and only reminder I'm giving - TOMORROW, MAY 4th is the deadline to send by - there are still 9 people left to mail and I've heard nothing from anyone saying they will be late.

I sent in my questionnaire and as soon as I hear something back, I'll post a sample of what I plan to make.  How in the world do we decide what we want with so many choices  Huh

As for the posted Experienced ones, can you rank them from easiest to hardest? I figure that if I start with the easiest Experienced one, I can build my confidence as I move to the harder ones.

This is my opinion (others may have a different order):

December
October
February
May
April
January
November
March (only because of the way the instructions are written)

I know what I'm making - it's very simple and easy but the only thing I could think of that's metallic.

I've never done one of these and, honestly, it sounds like fun but scares me to death at the same time.  I'm not sure if I quite understand so let me ask a question and if I have it right, I'll join  Grin

I have to make 5 of the same items and then post a picture of what I'm offering but I've seen some people that are offering a few different things so that confuses me.  If I offered large tote bags would that be okay?

Sorry to ask questions when so many of you know what's happening but I want to play but have to make sure I understand the rules  Grin

I bought 10 skeins of yarn (2 each of 5 colors) plus 2 more of one color for the joining. Since I have never made anything like this before, will that be enough?

That all depends on how big the balls of yarn are.

All the best in catching up - and be sure to post pictures as you make them.

Rather than do it in fiddly little tiny strips, I'm thinking of cutting it down into 3 x 3 squares in strips, like so: (my pink pen lines are a little faint, you might have to squint  Wink )

I can see this idea working if you break it into smaller sections.  If I was doing it, I would make some traditional log cabin style and some of the more 'interesting' shapes paper pieced.

I can't wait to see this finished.  I think it would look great just black and white but will look wonderful in a riot of colors!
