4921  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: now I'm ready on: May 09, 2006 07:21:37 AM
I love the color!

Monotony is the reason I stick to baby blankets - I can usually handle it that long but if I'm going to make a larger one, it has to be something interesting and fun to make!

Great job Hookin Flamingo!!!!!

I crochet, too, and know it's not always easy making small things.

Great job Anna-begins!  I've been following the other thread (and it even inspired me to buy the book).

Your Big Bird block has been one of my favorites of all them I have seen - I just love how his feather blend so nicely.

Roxy nova, I can't wait to see yours done - you have some wonderful blocks too!

Your quilt is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!  Did you have a pattern or make up your own?  Are the jars appliqued on?

I'm thinking of making an I Spy quilt and, after seeing your quilt, thought it might be fun to do something like this instead of just plain squares.

4928  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Ongoing Fabric Swap on: May 07, 2006 02:01:00 PM
Okay, I went through my craft area and found some fabric in another area I forgot I had.  So, here are 5 more pieces of fabric - the greens are FQ only and the two white ones can be FQ or 1/2 yard.  I now have 16 fabrics list - hopefully someone can find something they like or I don't know what to do.

Green with shell design - cotton
White with yellow flowers - not sure exactly what this is but some sort of cotton blend
Green with leaf design - cotton

green with swirls - cotton
Christmas wreath - cotton blend

Your squares look great - I especially like the kids print star!

I had ALOT of trouble with this block.  I kept getting off on the order that I needed to sew the material and I have several pieces that don't match anything.  I saw someone else post that she gave up on it after a few tries....I don't blame you.  These were really hard.   I was so thankful that I didn't have to do a whole quilt of them....It never would have been finished.

I'm the other one who had a hard time with this block - I've never given up on a square before but did with this one.
