I claim CraftyDeb for:

****Summer survival kit for kids - school here is over on May 21.  Activities, crafts whatever for little boys aged 6 and 4.  Help me keep these kids occupied...mommy doesn't need any more grey hair!  I think it is going to be a loooooong summer!

This is my 3rd claim (2 already sent)

I live in Alberta, Canada and this is my list:

Orange cotton fabric that's not too girly.  I'm starting to collect fabric to make my oldest son a quilt and orange is his favorite color - FQ minimum/piece, please

Cotton fabric with trumpets and/or clarinets on it - 1/2 yard minimum, please

Laurel Burch's Hearts and Hummingbirds fabric in lavender - 1/2 yard minimum, please

A candy goodie box (this would be especially fun if you live in a non-North American country.)  I've had 2 such packages before and totally loved them but now I'm out so I'd love more.  No chocolate please as I'm allergic to it.  A few things I like are sour candy, chewy candy, dutch licorice but I won't turn other kinds away

Most of the things I've mentioned are on my wist but feel free to check it over and if there's something on there you want to make, go ahead.

Some tea towels with toppers on them so I can hang them from my stove.  Sewn, knit or crochet toppers are great and any color except for white for the tea towels.

A Craftster address book - I like to keep addresses of people I've swapped with in case I do again - I'd like it to have a space for the Craftster name as well as their real name and address and also a space to write down what swaps I've done with them.

I have plans to make this doll http://www.paradisedolls.com/p083.html (except mine will have silver accents rather than gold) and I'm still in the collecting stage so, I'm looking for any silver charms that would suit this dress (such as scissors, brush, mirror, etc.), silver old fashioned buttons with pearls in the center, I still need about 100 regular shirt buttons (2 or 4 hole is fine) - it's hard to see in the picture but some of the squares are made with buttons and sequins (which I already have)

Cross stitch picture featuring a tulip or summer flowers (not too small, please)

Winnie the Pooh, Tigger or Eyeore crocheted in thread (I already have Piglet and he's getting lonely)

and im trying to decide if i should just throw caution to the wind as far as a color theme (using up my old yarn) or otherwise...any comments? i have a LOT of different colors and dont want it to look funky when its a blanket, ya know?

I'd throw caution to the wind and use whatever you have.  I did an entire afghan through swaps a few years ago and people sent whatever color they wanted and, in the end, it looks great!  I have almost every imagineable color in that afghan.

lindamry, your second link is not working - you added a < that needs to be removed.  However, when I looked at your first picture, I saw a little photo of the second and clicked on it.  Great job on both and I love the colors you used!

Let's stop commenting on the wonderful item flanman received until she's moved it over to the gallery - then comment away!

Thanks for all the help and suggestions everyone!

I've now been accepted so I can list what I'm making.  I don't have an etsy shop or any other kind of shop but since I was supposed to give myself a name, for this swap, my 'shop' will be called Bags, Sewn by Cindy

These bags are approximately 12x12"

The tiger bag is lined with dark blue, the red bag is lined with burgundy and the musical bag is lined with yellow floral material.

Blue and white stripes are lined with small blue and white stripes (and they show through a little) and the farm yard bag is lined with white.

Just one more question(s) and then I promise I'll stop asking them (I've done almost 50 swaps with this group so I don't know why I'm so nervous) - I get the concept of making 5 items and I know what I'm making and what material I am using.  I know I'm supposed to post pictures of what I'm offering and I'll be told who to send them to but I'm planning to pre-craft and not take custom orders - how do I decide who gets what, especially if 2 or more people want the same thing?

Okay, I'm going to be quiet now until I hear back that I've been accepted and then I'll post my items.
