I also like your idea of crocheting in the starter tail Amethyst.

That's what I do also - saves time having to go back and sew it in later.

Great job on all the crochet TheDishclothQueen!

I have patterns for some angels (maybe even the same ones, it's hard to tell) and I love making them and sending them to people!

I mailed today!

Canada Post has been doing a horrible job of delivering my packages in a timely fashion so I figured if there was going to be a chance of it arriving by Christmas, I better get it in the mail now  Grin

I received a FANTASTIC package from krafty_kelly today!  Wow, it's like she knows me because everything she sent is so suited to me.

First, the stocking

And now the contents:

A bag (which used to be a placemat), a towel with a snowman applique and the largest pin cushion I have ever seen!

A felted bowl (designed to fit around a plastic container), 2 wonderful wrapped pens (1 is personalized with my name) and a cookie cutter (filled with jellybeans)

A caribou tufted keychain (many people where I grew up used to do this sort of artwork and so it brings back so many good memories for me - now when I'm talking about tufting and people give me a strange look, I can show them my keychain)

3 snowmen items that are going to find wonderful places during my winter and/or Christmas decorating season!

Last, but certainly not least, some candy made in Newfoundland (where Kelly is from) - peppermint and peanut butter (and are they yummy!)  and a cookbook which I know I will get lots of use from.

THANK YOU Kelly for all the wonderful things - I feel very spoiled and can't wait until you get your package!

wow you are fast!!!! I'll be crafting once Thanksgiving is over...so busy right now and no time to craft, sniff...sniff...

Here in Canada our Thanksgiving is long over so it's kind of a slow season for me - I have a casual job and have 2 weeks off, in a row, before starting a long December stretch so I thought I should get done what I can now.

I have 3 items finished and just need to make or buy the 'charity' item.  I hope to mail next Monday.

Ohhhh... Sparkie, I just realized, those arent stitch markers! but I guess it can be lol  Its a lil hard to see but if you even it out and look it forms a turtle, its really just a fun lil turtle pin.

If you looked closely at the picture, you can see the turtle!  I love those kind of pins.

Is it just me or does this swap seem to have stopped.  There should be 13 pairs of partners (totalling 26 people) and from what I can see in this gallery, there are only 8 pictures - what happened to the rest of the packages???

What are you guys going to do with all those squares ?

I, too, am making mine into an afghan but I don't know what I'm going to do with it since we already have more than enough in the house.  I may give it to a friend or donate it to charity.
