561  Re: foc swap 3 gallery! in The Swap Gallery by Homerof2 on: July 04, 2006 07:40:02 PM
Today I went to the mail box and found I had a package - I looked at the name, which meant nothing to me, then looked at the customs form, which said fabric.  I didn't think I was involved in any fabric swaps at the moment so I took it home to open.  I opened it up, looked at all the wonderful items, still wondering who had sent it.  Then I read the note and realized it was my FOC package #3 (sorry, secret FOC, I still haven't received package #1.)

Wow, was I thrilled!  I received some wonderful fabric!  I already know what I will use the fruit fabric for, now I just have to decide what to make with all the animal fabric (no, I'm not giving it away).

And, I've been envious all lots of other craftsters who have received nest pins, well, now I have my own!!!!!  Along with a kanzashi pin.

(I just realized that if you look really close at the center of the pin, you can see my camera and purple shirt)

THANKS for everything!!!!!!!

563  Re: The 2006 Wishlist Swap June Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Homerof2 on: June 24, 2006 09:04:49 PM
I received from stellato_escuro yesterday.  She sent me an amigurami bunny - she says it's the first one she has made - don't you think she did a good job??!

She also added a scarf to the bunny, to keep it warm during our cold Canadian winters  Grin

I received a great package yesterday from loves2experiment.  She was sending me knit dishcloths but also included two wonderful pieces of fabric (yes, the yellow piece has frogs on it.)

Homerof2 received my OTT but i think she didn't post yet because she didn't know what it was *laughing*.  I let her know that it's a drawstring pouch, but  I sent it flat (open/undrawn) because the bottom of it has card in it to keep a round shape, so it made sense to send it that way.

When my package from tiph_thompson first arrived, I thought, Wow, she sent me a wonderful sunflower hanging - it was much larger than 4x4, but, hey, who am I to complain.

Then I got this cryptic PM from her saying to 'pull the obvious thing to pull', to see what the item really was.  So, I went back to look at it again and realized that she must mean to pull what I thought was the hanger.  I pulled it, and this is what appeared:

As much as it's cute closed, I think I'm going to use it open and hang it in my kitchen during my fall season.

Thanks, Tiph, for this wonderful item!

At the middle of May, I decided that I was going to re-do my January, Febraury and March squares since I wasn't happy with the others ones and I did it right away but just now remembered to post pictures.

So, here they are:

Now, if I could just get the June one finished, I would be caught up.  Oh, as much as I like my new casual job, it sure interfers with my craft time!

I am one of those people who has been waiting impatiently, oops, I meant patiently  Grin for package #1 to arrive and today I picked up the mail, saw there was a package for me, got it, got home really fast to open it only to discover it said package #2 - I have no idea what happened to package #1.

Anyway, in this wonderful package was a pattern book for making quilted tops and some jar tags:

AND,

drum roll, pleeeeeeeease

I would like to introduce to you BERNICE:

The most wonderful bear!!!  I've been wanting a cuddly bear for awhile and now I have one.  I've also been tempted to make one so I was checking this little gal out to see how she was put together and, let me say, the sewing on this is fantastic!!  She now has a place of honor on the cedar chest in my bedroom and I will be sure to show her off when friends come to visit.

THANKS, THANKS secret FOC for this wonderful package and I promise to give Bernice a good home like you requested! and I really hope the first package isn't lost.

I received my (i believe it fits in the 4x4 rule, so THERE) OTT from Homerof2, and she fulfilled one of my desires for a little crocheted beastie.

I love the way you described that Tiffany!

Yes, I did stretch the rules just a little and made something that was about 6" x 1 1/2" (which is still less than 16 sq. inches).  Next round I promise to stick to the rules!

So, here's the little caterpillar I made:

Today I received the most wonderful, wonderful knit slippers from kinkyknits.

They were exactly what I wanted and fit like they were custom made.  The picture doesn't do them justice because they have a really nice design in them but it doesn't show up.

THANKS!!!!!!!
