I needed to start with this quote from craftydeb because after you see what she sent me, none of you will agree that her package fails in comparison to what I sent her.

Quote from: craftydeb
Keep in mind we AGREED to keep it small - and look what she did - yes, she is probably grinning like the cheshire cat right about now.  I am sending out her package tomorrow which will ultimately fail in comparison in my opinion.

So, here is what we AGREED to:

Some towels to hang on my stove:

Little boys playing - they are embroidered onto squares and I'll make them into something (as soon as I figure out what)

                                                     Nativity ornaments:

Other ornaments (the crocheted ones are her own pattern):

These interesting items will eventually make up into 3 bowls:

And, the items we didn't agree on but she threw in anyway  Grin

A fantastic fabric bowl (I couldn't get a good picture but the lid comes off and there is a great bowl inside)

A sunflower embroidered bag, chapstick holder, kleenex holder, notebook holder and a travel sewing kit:

Plus, not pictured is a googly eyed pen and some fish crackers (so I don't have to travel way down under and steal Tanza's (oh right, she ate them all already))

Now, don't you all agree with me that Deb sent me a HUGE amount of stuff and we are even  Grin

Call me impatient if you want (it's okay, I have large shoulders and can handle it) but 2 of the people I sent to received last week and haven't put pictures up yet so I thought I would post the ones I took before I sent.

I claimed Dulcinea for a crocheted lap blanket.  I've been making and collecting 12" squares for the last few years and have tons of them (literally!), so I decided to put a few together and make this afghan:

Five of the squares were made by me and the rest I've collected on Craftster and another board I used to belong to.

Then, I claimed Samsara for a rainbow necklace and came up with this idea:

It's 6 strands of beads representing the colors of the rainbow (yes, I know there are 7 colors in a rainbow but I figured indigo and violet were so close in color I would combine them into one)

Sunspotted received the large bag I sent her but can't get pictures up right now so I offered to post the picture I had taken.

It's made from denim and lined inside with a lighter material.

487  Re: Alas poor Yorick! **now with a pattern!!** in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Homerof2 on: September 18, 2007 01:41:06 PM
This is so totally not my kind of crochet but when I saw it, I just knew I had to make it for my partner in a swap.  She wanted a stuffy and she liked skulls, so how could I not.

As you can see, I used buttons instead of roses (it was a bargain hunter swap and I was limited in my spending.)

Thanks for sharing the pattern, it allowed me to try something totally off the wall for me  Grin

I, too, received an elephant for this round.  May I introduce to you Cordelia, who was knit by TreeTree.

She was very hard to get a good photo of (maybe she's camera shy!)

I received some wonderful washcloths from Kayrun today.  They are all very nice and if you look closely at the bottom of the pink one, you can see a butterfly!

I'm now 5/5 and already planning what to make for the next round  Grin

490  Anne of Green Gables in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Homerof2 on: August 16, 2007 07:15:42 AM
I was discussing my crafting love with a lady at work a few days ago and I told her I would bring in my photo album to show her some of my work.  As I was flipping through it deciding which pictures to take out (some of my first and horrible items), I came across a picture of a doll I made back in '04.  Since we didn't have a digital 'back then', I only had a regular picture but I found out you can take digital pictures of regular ones and here's the result:

I made her for a doll exchange I did with another group and I've always been sorry since that I gave her away.  The entire doll, minus the straw hat is crochet.

I should look and see if I still have the pattern.  I did find the website I purchased her pattern from but it appears that she's no longer available (or maybe I just couldn't find her.)
