1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Dying it red "naturally"? on: April 17, 2007 09:49:02 AM
I had to make a warning on this topic.

Natural hair colors like Henna, etc. only work properly over natural uncolored/ bleached hair. If youtry to use them over chemically treated hair (permed, relaxed, chemically colored) you will end up with a really nasty effect that cannot be fixed with chemical color (ie. you will have to grow out your mouldy-green hair). Read the packaging thouroughly with any hair color...or go see a stylist. You'll be glad you spent the money.
2  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: The End of Harry Potter Swap (SIGNUPS CLOSED, SENDOUTS April 23) on: March 26, 2007 03:01:59 PM
My partner gave me some great ideas for things to make her. I have to go and buy Slytherin yarn this weekend...then knit knit knit on my video shoots (I'm sure my fellow crew members will love that).

Everytime I think about this swap, I sing the Sound of Music song...

This is going to be such a great swap!

5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: We Love our Blythes, Pullips and DALs swap Round 3 Gallery! on: March 21, 2007 12:46:22 PM
I'm glad you recieved everything. I'm currently dying to make that hat in my size.

Also, the article you described as a poncho is actually a circle skirt that I made to match the top - but love the idea of it being a poncho!
6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Yarn Swap for Rapunzel Scarf Gallery on: March 19, 2007 11:24:25 AM
I finished making my scarf this weekend. It is so pretty and mermaidy! I don't think there were 2 peices of yarn the same length - which I loved. The scarf ha the coolest uneven fringed ends. I also sewed sequins and little fish beads in randomly to the scarf. I can't wait to post some action shots when I get home tonight.

Phew! I was getting a little worried.

I love it. So pretty! I'm going to try making this pattern out of old band t-shirts.
9  CANADA / Alberta / Alberta/ Edmonton Swap on: March 15, 2007 01:15:58 PM
We've talked about it for a while, I'm just wondering how many people are still interested. I'll organize an actual swap on here as long as I have a few interested people. It could be an all of Alberta swap, but those of us that live in Edmonton can all get together for a face-to-face swap. What do you think?
10  CANADA / Alberta / Re: Edmonton? E-town? Anyone? on: March 15, 2007 01:11:01 PM
We've all been talking about an Edmonton swap for a while. Maybe we should all get together for crafty goodness. We could do an actual craftster Alberta swap and all of us who live in Edmonton could get together in person.
