what type of silkscreening is this, with a paper stencil or the type where you use a whole photo process?
12  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Completed Projects / first silk screenings on: March 03, 2007 04:06:31 PM
my first silk screenings, been wanting to do this for year, did these in texiles class, palnning on doing many more, this is the type of silkscreening that uses paper stencils though, not quite as cool but still great, getting good with an exacto blade

so this was my first ever silver cast piece, I only made the cross, not the chain...  I figure its pretty good for a first casting...except where my teacher dropped the wax version and reattached it crooked, but thats ok he was a good teach so i'll forgive him,... I'll prob not cast silver again as I don't have the set up for it, but it was fun to try

(the color is a bit off in the pic... my scanner was acting up.... it does have a bit of a gold shine to it though as its got korean silver in it (mixed with sterling silver))

I made plasticine copies of the pieces then covered them with the silicone window cocking.... just put soapy water on your fingers so it doesn't stick to you, then put some cocking on the piece, spread with your finger

I dunno what type of resin it is, its whatever we use in the sculpture room at school, pretty sure its an industrial grade for fixing boats, I mixed graphite powder into the stuff to get it black.... really smelly stuff
