1  Crochet Pattern Question in Crochet: Discussion and Questions by Mis-Stitch on: March 30, 2007 08:34:53 PM
Hello!! I'm not new to Craftster just new to the Crochet Forum.  I recently started learning how to crochet however I was limited to only one stitch.  I bought this awesome book by Afya Ibomu called " Get Your Crochet On!" and I'm trying to make a snood for my locs.  However, I'm stumped on this particular direction for Round 4: it says to Ch 3, * (1 dc in next st, ch1) repeat from * around, join.  I did the Ch 3 then in the next stitch I dc, then with the stitch left on the hook I did a ch1.  Now I'm not particularly sure that I did it right because it was suppose to have a total of 30 stitches from the previous round but it ended up being like double the stitches.  It was really big. So am I reading this wrong?  Please help!!  I undid all the stitches I did so I can start over.  Here is a picture this is where I stopped the beginning of round 4 with the ch 3.  Here is the author's website www.nattral.com

3  Pink and Green Paisley Tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Mis-Stitch on: September 16, 2006 11:07:36 PM
Well I am starting to be more confident, especially after I went to the Renegade Craft Show today in Chicago.  So I came home and made this tote.  I'm not really good with lining yet, so its unlined.  Please tell me what you think, only way a person will learn is from constructive criticism.  I was thinking of adding one of Angela's Rosettes (for all ya'll Project Runway watchers, lol!!) but I think it may look to busy.  Thanks for looking.

4  Cute Pink and Brown Tote w/Ribbons in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Mis-Stitch on: September 12, 2006 09:09:32 PM
Hi Everyone, here is another tote that I made with a young family friend of mines she wanted to learn how to sew, so we made a basic tote.  She sewed the sides up, I did everything else, but I know she had a blast.
