I'm finally able to post the pictures of the great package that Flanman made for me.  I will be able to send hers this week so you can wrap this swap up. I'm SO sorry that i have been such a looser!

ON TO THE GOODIES:

the entire set

the stuff she made/decorated: a bright, fun tote bag, a science themed folder, a great pencil case with super details, and a beautiful covered notebook.

another shot of the bag since I love it so much and you couldn't really see it much in the group shot:

and last but of course not least: the pencil case in a closer pic to show the details:
it says "Craftster" and "Val Sped" around the top, has a ruler for the zipper pull and has the cutest ribbon around the whole thing! Smiley

Thank you thank you thank you again!!!!! I LOVE it!

I got 3 AMAZING kits last week, but I've been CRAZY busy and then really sick, so I didn't get pics posted yet.

Beckster was a sweetie to post pics of the spinning kit so I won't add more, but you gotta know it is GREAT and I did a little happy dance when it arrived!

Misocci74 sent me a kit for making my own cards: All I can say is SHE ROCKS!!! She even sent me a paper cutter and a huge pad of scrapbook paper! Here's a Pic
there's also a tutorial book, GOBS and TONS of goodies for embellishments, glue dots and LOTS of envelopes to send my cards in! I haven't really gotten into it yet cause I wouldn't allow myself to until all my packages were out, but tomorrow I'll see what I can create!!

The final kit is a thumbprint doodle stationary/card kit from Whatzudoin. This kit was SO amazingly complete and well put together I HAVE to post several pics! that's the whole shebang (I had to stand on the chair to get it all in!)  there's a book with ideas, a set to make personalized stationary with a cool folder, her tutorial book- which has perfect step by step pics, markers, 3 rolls of double stick tape, 4 stamp pads, extra paper,  a 'thanks' stamp, and all the bits and pieces to make lots of cards... all cut and ready to go!!! The next pic is all of the sample cards (the same as the sets and directions so I could see how they're made)

I haven't broken into the card sets, but the book and stamp pads were a life saver when I had to work on other things... My 5 yr old sat with me for an hour making critters and doodles!!! Here's some of his work:

I made a little felted hedgehog (could be a small pin cushion) tonight. I was gonna post him, but I wet felted him a bit and he ended up more shaggy and kinda deformed, so I have to wait till he's dry and neelde him some more.

OK I couldn't resist in progress pics, but rest assured he'll be improved tomorow!!

18  Re: My kid can craft TOO! Swap (3/21/07 to 4/14/07) in The Swap Gallery by valsped on: April 28, 2007 06:54:09 PM
here are the much belated pics of the package from BJ and JlovesG... sorry no group shot... the camera battery died just as I tried to take it and the goodies have long been hidden in their permanant homes, or are in use!!
Since I'm sure you can't tell from the pics... there was a pillow, wooden box with a clay indian, bow and arrow, a clay tepee (with real wood supports that BJ used the dremel on!! Wink a dream catcher, and a fish sun catcher (that Steven wore as a neclace) and a little bit of candy (since JloveG knew we were trying to limit sugars!)
talk about a christmas expression!!
the pillow
yes the bow really does work with the arrow, but I advised him not to do it again, doubt clay would hold up well to too much preasure!!
the dream catcher, brothers can be distracting even when you love a package (I think he was trying to touch the pillow actually!)

the tepee how cool is that!?!?!

Thank you SO much BJ!!!! Steven loves everything and thinks you're the best 'swamp friend' ever!!!

OK here are the action shots someBUNNY demanded!! Wink
prepare to be jealous!!
the whole shebang
There are 4 skeins of awesome blue yarn, one of them was wound into a magic yarn ball, but of course I couldn't wait to unravel it!! There was also a purple leather hook case, and a row counter bracelet. Inside the ball were yummy chocolates, a FOC key chain, a little bag of AWESOME buttons, and stitch markers.
(I appolpgize profusely if I missed anything, I couldn't wait to use most of it, so I could have something in use that I forgot!)
Here's more details and action shots:

the hook roll already full! The leather is sssooo soft! I just want to sit and pet it!
stitch markers that match the bracelet! (the grey project is a secret!  Lips sealed ssshhhh don't tell!!)
keychain... now I can't wait for someone to spot it!
row counter bracelet, sorry it looks wonky... I'm already using it and didn't want to risk loosing count and I couldn't get a shot on my own wrist!
I took a shot of my favorite items (though I LOVE it all) but it didn't turn out... the hook roll, stitch markers, keychain and bracelet!
Thank you a hundred million times Bunny Boo!!!!!
